Game Debate to the Death!<br>Best Halo 3 multiplayer level? photo

In the last debate we discussed which Halo 2 multiplayer map was our favorite, and this week we're finishing the fight. For the main level debate we had votes cast evenly for just about every level, except for the one that won by a complete landslide. The bonus question about everyone's favorite weapon in the Halo series was much more even though, with the plasma grenade, needler, shotgun, pistol, and sniper rifle all coming close to the winning weapon. Here are the top results from each category:

  • Favorite Halo 2 Level: Lockout!
  • Favorite Halo Series Weapon: Battle Rifle!

For this week we're finally putting all the headshots and halos to rest, with one last FPS multiplayer level debate. Including all of the bonus levels that have come out since its release date, which multiplayer level in Halo 3 is your favorite, and why? If you still haven't gotten around to trying the new map pack, don't worry, you've got all week to vote. Give it some serious thought, cast your vote and reasons, get some Xbox friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner.

Bonus Question: Any suggestions for a game debate you would like to see next week?

I haven't played Halo 3 much at all yet, but I'm going with High Ground.

Bonus Question: feel free to suggest another level debate, but preferably a non-FPS game. Also, don't be afraid to suggest completely off the wall debate matchups. I like to occasionally compare 2 completely unrelated games in totally different genres. Sometimes it's good to debate about things that aren't on every site and forum on the Internet, things you've never been asked to debate before make you think more.

You know I never thought I'd say this, but...Ghost Town.

I thought it was going to be the let down in the new map pack but immediately after loading up the map I fell in love with it. It's just so well made. It reminded me of why I ever liked Halo so much in the first place.

My vote goes to Foundry, and the long answer to short question is as follows. When Halo 3 first came out I was pretty disappointed in the selection of maps. I hate Epitaph and Isolation, didn't really like Construct, or The Pit, so that left me with Guardian, High Ground, Last Resort, SnowBound, Valhalla, Sandtrap, and Narrows. 7 maps I liked, 4 I really didn't. I have come around on The Pit and Construct recently, however, Epitaph, and Isolation still suck in my eyes. With the release of the foundry however, I have gotten to see some of my favorite levels from halo:CE, and Halo 2 remade, (chillout, and Warlock come to mind). Not to mention some of the truly ingenious original levels we have seen from the forge community. All 3 of the legendary maps are totally awesome, and while Lockout was absolutely my favorite halo 2 level, Foundry is the only level that really got me interested in playing Halo3 again. I am currently working on a few maps with a friend of mine, and am always searching for awesome new maps on forgehub and bungie.net for foundry.
