Game Debate to the Death!: Best and Worst Counter-Strike map? photo

Last week's Super Smash Bros. Melee level debate was a great way to get everyone pumped for Super Smash Bros. Brawl's recent release. While I'm tempted to make this week's debate Brawl based, I think it would be best to give it a month or so for everyone to get used to all the levels before making their favorite level decisions. As for the winners and losers of last week's debate, here are the top results from each voting category:

  • Corneria (18 votes)
  • Pokemon Stadium (15 votes)
  • Final Destination (9 votes)
  • Least Favorite SSB Melee Stage:
  • Ice Climbers' Icicle Mountain (33 votes) -- loser!
  • Game & Watch's Flat Zone (10 votes)
  • Samus's Brinstar Depths (9 votes)
  • Donkey Kong's Jungle Japes (8 votes)

For this week we move on to one of the most successful first person shooter games of all time: Counter-Strike.  I don't see the need for a separate CS and CS Source debate, so this week is both games and all their versions wrapped up into one huge headshot debate. Of all the maps made for the game, which level is your favorite, and why? Give it some serious thought, cast your vote and reasons, get some FPS friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner.

Bonus Question: Which Counter-Strike map did you like the least?

favorite map = de_dust (simply because it's simple, straightfoward and don't last very long)

least favorite map = cs_militia (wayy too big, everyone camps, boring!)

Favorite map: Go ahead and make fun of me, but I'll admit fy_iceworld is my favorite. Whether it's playing online for fun, or at a LAN party with friends, it's fast paced and you don't have to wait forever for people to kill each other.

I also really really like Italy and the Swimming Pool level. Office was fun too.

Least favorite map: de_dust. There I said it. I don't care if it's perfectly balanced and the most loved, I think it's borrrrring.

Favorite: de_nuke, Great spamming spots, great sniping spots, Great secret spots, random broken box room, vents,rafters, radio just overall great.

Worst By FAR: de_inferno, The map is the worst balanced map EVAR. So CT sided, it hurts. They should have just made T spawn go straight down a hall way and funnel into CT spawn. SUCKS.

de_dust2 by far is one of the gratest maps ever created on an FPS.

And the worst has to be the one on an airplane, canīt remember itīs name.

i get the feeling that de_dust is going to be both best and worst...
But anyway - I dont know the maps well, or the names, but my favourite was the one where the terrorists start in a house in the country and the ct's start on a road and theres a big silo next to the house, and theres tunnels.

Least favourite... one of the save hostage ones, where its like a crappy apartment complex. Because i always got lost.
