I love me some Batman, but my favorite era of Batman lore is the Arkham Asylum time -- an even darker, grittier glimpse of what Gotham City usually looks like. Of course, when the game was delayed I was pretty bummed about it, but we know it's still coming, and that's better than not coming at all, yes?
The new trailer after the jump gives you a peek into Arkham Asylum from the viewpoint of the creators, who share some insight into their ideas for what makes the game tick. It makes me want to go back to my local Gamestop and play the demo over an dover again until they kick me out. Last time I went there I played until a kid that looked about ten poked me and said "Lady, can I have a turn?" Then I felt kind of bad, so I left.
I am so excited for this game. Growing up I foolishly played and owned most of the Batman games because I thought they were good. How did I not go insane playing Batman Forever on my Genesis? Seriously?
I hope they exploit some of Batman's psychological vulnerabilities in the game. Also, even though Batman should feel like a badass, I hope they dont make him too physically dominate to the point where he feels like Superman. This game looks stunning and will be a classic if it lives up to expectations.:)
