Gallery: Giant Robot's Game Over III art exhibit photo

Giant Robot premiered the third annual Game Over art exhibit last Friday during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Each year, the show puts out a call for entries for videogame themed artwork using different types of mediums.

The art contributions continue to get better in style and quality each year, and there were some really great submissions this time around. All of the pieces are on sale over on Giant Robot's Web site, ranging from the low $20s to as high as $999.

The gallery below is made up of the pieces that I liked, but you can check out the full show over on Giant Robot's site. The exhibit is open until April, so if you're in the area, be sure to check it out!

Any particular piece that you fancy?

The VAST majority of those are absolutely horrendous. I'd be embarrassed to see that some of my lowly doodles are asking for $60 on the low end.

Picture 15 answers the question: "What if Megaman had Down syndrome?"

I feel the Altered Beast one should have finished as Big the Cat, as in keeping it Sega, though Garfield is understandably more recognizable.

Megaman?

Also, Chun li's thighs were my first too.

The Katarmi one got a grin. Some of these are pretty sexy, but the +$100 price tag is a little rich of my blood.

Unless I sell my blood? Then I can buy all the posters I desire.

The altered beast one made me lol. The Dhalsim motorcycle is excellent too.

The ones in the header image and the Vivi one are my favorites.

Ico, Katamari, the Zelda/Mario/Vivi series, the joystick man, and probably a few others I can't recall now, very good.

Actually the Doom face progression was the my favorite one. Beautiful and neat idea.

Get over yourself Ronsauce and go back to worshiping Thomas Kincaid.
