Galaga Legions DX hits PSN, XBLA this week

11:00 AM on 06.27.2011

Galaga Legions DX is hitting Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this week, Namco Bandai has confirmed with Eurogamer.

The Galaga Legions name might sound familiar -- it hit XBLA back in 2008. This "deluxe" version is the follow up, and looks as crazy as the original. From the trailer, it looks like there are new firing modes in the game, including the ability to shoot in multiple directions.

I've been a big fan of Namco's remakes, including Pac-Man Championship Edition and the DX follow up. This looks like a bit too much of a "bullet hell" experience for my liking, though, and I'm a big fan of the original Galaga. How's it looking to you?

On XBLA today: Half-Minute Hero, Galaga Legions DX, more

In a rather odd move, Xbox Live Arcade has been updated with four new releases this week. I guess they're clearing out the queue in preparation for the Summer of Arcade later this month? Sure, let's go with that. Half-Minute...more

Video: Dragon Ball Online fan remake happening, and Xenoverse still looks like a remake

A group of Dragon Ball Online fans, who happen to also be developers, are translating the game into English and re-releasing it as Dragon Ball Online: Revelations. Meanwhile, we've got more screenshots of Dragon Ball Xenoverse, a game which I still firmly believe to be an adaptation of Dragon Ball Online.more

Mysterious Super Saiyan revealed in new Dragon Ball Xenoverse demos

A new batch of screens and art have revealed more of the mysterious figure seen during the announcement of Dragon Ball Xenoverse at E3 2014. This character, uncharacteristically for Saiyans, seems to have red hair instead of ...more

Review: Dark Souls II: The Crown of the Sunken King

2014 has been very good to me, but Dark Souls II is one of my favorite games of the year. Many debates have raged on as to whether or not it's as exceptional as its predecessor (Demon's Souls is better than bot...more
