Every good marketer knows that the more cleavage you have on the air, the higher the ratings. G4's ratings must have slipped by a few hundred thousand again.
God G4 just infuriates me. Their "news" shows are hosted by vapid idiots, clearly reading from cue cards. Maybe someone finally got sick of watching Olivia's eyes bounce back and forth like a game of pong as she "reports" the news. I would much rather have moderately attractive women who actually know what the hell their talking about on that network then, then some crazy hot chick with big boobs pretending. If I did watch G4, I'd watch to gleam some information from them, not to stare at some chick I'll never meet tits. If I wanted to do that I'd type "boobs" into google.

It isn't G4 that offends me, it's the fact that they "acquired" TechTV for the express and sole purpose of canceling all their shows.

As long as they have Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb, I'll keep watching G4 for at least 30 minutes a day.
I sort of wish I had access to this channel. The cable package upgrade isn't worth it, considering this would be the only channel out of the bunch I'd probably end up watching. Oh well, hopefully whoever they cast is a girl with personality that doesn't simply pretend to like games.

I think that any criticism against Layla Kayleigh is fair ... while we'll never know if she really had any interest in video games (probably not), her dead eyes and levels of vapi-tude were off the freakin' charts. I however see no reason to hate on Morgan Webb, Olivia Munn and/or Blair Butler. Whether or not they play the same amount of games as YOU do on a daily basis I think that they have proven over the years that they're talented, fun, funny, smart, witty, etc. and all the other things that you'd want out of TV personality (they don't have the cue-card reader syndrome) ...

Generally G4 is fucking awful with a few exceptions. Chris Gore, Blair Butler and maybe Adam Sessler.

If they still had Martin Sargent & Laura Swisher on staff I might have been able to tolerate G4's long running trend of employing droves of luscious, moisturized, & exfoliated barely jail bait ass. But alas, it is not to be. I think what most people find shitty about G4 is their presentation of the women. I recently got a new cable set up and so have been watching a lot of X-play to see if I was missing anything. They tend to keep Web to rehearsed segments and only expressing opinions after Sessler's done so. There's another female on there but she's stuck doing ridiculous walkthrough segments. Then they cut to a commercial and they tease Web's own program, and of course it's all about the underbelly of sex clubs and pornography houses.
G4 assumes a lot of things about male gamers, and unfortunately none of them are flattering. Yes there will be plenty of vainglorious models auditioning, but c'mon, I feel a little bad for the legitimate women who'll be turned into just another Gamer Grrl.
