G4's X-Play to reveal first details for E3 2009 tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT photo

Oh, we're all holding out breath waiting to find out -- what will become of the Electronic Entertainment Expo?

Hell if we know, but we're about to find out! G4's X-Play will exclusively be revealing the first details on next year's E3 tonight. To get the skinny, you'll have to tune into G4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Unfortunately, that's all of the information we have. We can, of course, speculate. Dtoid's Chad Concelmo thinks that maybe E3 will make its way outside of LA, or that it will "go back to its chaotic, sweaty, boobie-filled days of yore." I think it's interesting that the info is going to be revealed on a mainstream, very public cable channel -- will E3 2009 be open to the public?

Who knows. No one tells us anything. But we'll tell you as soon as we know. Or you could tune into the X-Play tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Your call.

Surprise! E3 will be cancelled entirely!

Honestly, I don't expect anything terribly different than it has been the past two years. Maybe a new venue, but they're not going back to the big E3 of years past.

In other news, who really cares about E3 anymore? Maybe it's just me, but I enjoy the various press events that the companies do themselves more than the big game shows any more.

Yeah, E3 died with the closing and removal of booth babes. Ever since then it's been like a lobotomized vegetable, completely useless and depressing to look at.

@solidgoomba

E3 and other tradeshows still do have a purpose, and will msot likely see a shift to this over the next few years: smaller companies. Not every company has enough money to start their own event. You won't see Dan Paladin or the dudes from 2dboy able to make big conferences for their game. Tradeshows like E3 let the smaller developers show off their stuff in the most positive form for them. At least, thats what I believe.

I think part of it is I'm bitter that the last year of the "public" E3 was the year before I could attend, lol.

Seriously, fuck the people who say Morgan isn't attractive, or has a "manjaw." She's fucking gorgeous. Kind of annoying, but anyone who calls her ugly has some fucked-up standards.

@ Sharpless

Amen, sir. Amen.

I think it's because most gamers become so sexually frustrated that they begin to hate things they can't have.

But it's kind of a hardcore gamer thing, right? We're supposed to hate everything X-Play related more than anything, just like we have to hate EA. It's in the "Be a Stereotypical Gamer" manual.

I knew someone was gonna post that vgcats comic. You should have just stuck to the one panel with manjaw in it though.

Nintendo will announce Wii Pee, where you actually hold your Wii-mote to simulate taking a leak.

I used to look at E3 with the anticipation of a kid on Christmas Eve. The best E3 for me was E3 '99. Booths still had the babes and it was a good year for video games, then it changed. Didn't care for '00 or '01. =(

My problem with Morgan is that sometimes she's hot, sometimes not so much. But oh yeah it's what's on the inside that counts... Me.

Yeah, I was wondering if she'd gotten some Hollywood makeover, cuz she looks really good in that pic.

No, I think it has more to do with gamers and internet peoples having ridiculously ludicrous standards. We're bombarded with unrealistically hot in-game characters, we have access to tons of porn and half-naked pictures of gorgeous women on the webternets... Anyone who looks less than perfect is immediately labeled "fat" and/or "ugly," and is discarded.
