I don't care what you or anyone else says. I think it's sad X-Play is the only actual gaming show left on G4.

but then again, i'm quite sad G4 is still around after the complete shift years ago...and people have the nerve to say it's a good gaming channel.

Good for them, 30 more addtional mins of show that I'll be missing. I should watch it I do like Adam Sessler, he's a cool guy with a sexy face.

They could bust up domestic disputes. I think that might be popular with a wider audience.

I have the season pass on my DVR (If they even have seasons), so even though I speed through commercials and games I suck at I still say it's an alright show and something worthy of watching at6 least in passing. Hell, and if you want another gaming show GameTrailers TV comes on Spike (I for get the exact time... I love fucking DVRs).

I can't see exactly why people hate on that show so much. I understand about the station being completely teabagged those few years ago with with Tech TV show, Kevin Ross, and the like leaving but X-Play has been hanging on and still being hated on no matter how much they prove that they actually play games...

I like Adam Sessler but that's about it on X-Play. Morgan Webb is too much the "zany random kooky" influence on the show and that's the part I don't like about the show. I like their sarcastic jokes and such but when they just dive off into skits it gets annoying and retarded. They have entire episodes where they review like, one game and have one preview and the rest is just filler.

I'm also going to say that I like Attack of the Show but I like Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn is hot. I definitely watch the show more for comedy than any sort of gaming relevance (which it has pretty much none).

Sessler and Pereira I can stand.

Morgan and Olivia annoy the fuck out of me. Morgan with her voice and Olivia with her stupidity.

That said.

Sessler and Pereira should have their own gaming show.
Morgan and Olivia should have their own Do-Something-Hot Show.

I like Morgan, but not as much as I like Kristen Holt. I hear that Olivia is a raving bitch in real life

So I was at GDC for the Independent Games Festival (I had a game in the student showcase). I was able to be in the VIP area for the award show. I went around to all the people I look up to in the the industry (devs and journalists) and got their pictures, super fanboy style.

So I asked Adam Sessler for a picture and he was cool with it. But when I asked Morgan Webb, she asked what it was for. So I told that I just wanted to get my picture taken with people that I am fans of. She said fine, but also mentioned that she doesn't like having her picture taken by people because she is afraid it will get photoshopped with something sexual explicit and put up on the net...

Sorry for the long-winded post. I'm not trying to trash on Morgan Webb, she wasn't a total bitch anything. Just relaying a story.

Sessler is a god. Morgan would be a whole lot more tolerable if her personality wasn't so grating. She goes into TV host overdrive and rumbles over everyone, leaving a trail of condescension and insincere perk in her wake. Hot, though.

I like X-Play and Attack of the Show. I just wish G4 was more video games/tech and less street racing crap.

I prefer the new show layout over the old. Sure, the old layout was good, but it just got TOO MUCH towards the end. Too much spastic sketches, and not enough games. I like the new format; I think its good that the show now seems to take games with a bit of seriousness. The ONLY problem I’ve had with the new show format is that I’ve always felt it was too short at 30 min episodes. They didn’t really have TIME to do anything…no really good interviews, or longer reviews, and such. I’ve always thought that the show should have been extended to 1 hour length episodes. The only thing I’m unsure of now, is that the above says 1 hour long WEEKEND NIGHT episodes. So, does that mean that X-Play would go from 5 nights a week, to just TWO nights a week? ONE hour long episode each weekend night? Because if so, I think that would be even worse and more lousy than the 30 minute daily episodes. Over all time cut down by 30 minutes does NOT sound like an improvement to me.

On another note, Adam Sessler is the gaming man as far as I'm concerned. :-) I've seen him in interveiws, and on plenty of other G4 things, and he really does seem to ENJOY being a gamer. He plays, he likes. He's enthusiastic in his comments, and you can tell her really has a passion for the gaming industry. G4 (or any gaming programming) needs more hosts like Adam to spread around. Morgn, while hot, I find pretty MEH when it comes to the gaming side. I could be wrong, but she just doesn't seem to put the spirit into the business that Adam does, I think. Kevin and AOTS are okay, but they've moved a lot away from gaming/tech and on to stupid YouTube videos, etc. The show just has seemed to lose a lot of the focus it used to have, in my own opinion. Which is a shame, because AOTS was one of only 3 shows I really used to watch on G4: AOTS, X-Play, and Ninja Warrior (who doesn't love ninja's in training?). Now, AOTS is pretty much replaced with Unbeatable Banzuke! Love that show. :)

Speaking of High Definition. My Comcast service is yet to get Spike TV in HD, but this past week they put SpikeTV on Ondemand! and you have the option to watch Spike TV shows in HD. One of them is GametrailersTV. It felt strange but awesome to watch a gaming show in HD for once!

I loved X-Play when it was TechTv once the merger happened I lost interest in the direction G4techtv was taking the show. But if G4 is reformatting it to be more like its glory days then I need to check it out.

G4 is STILL not in HD. Therefore the only show i will sit through on it is Code Monkeys
