G4 gives us a helicopter tour of Liberty City

     PS3

Just a couple of more days until Grand Theft Auto IV is finally released, boys and girls! You're probably noticing many sites giving their reviews of the game and releasing a ton of new media. I don't know about you, but I'm avoiding all of that stuff like I would avoid a girl's yeast infection by going in her rear.

One thing I don't mind seeing now, though, is a bird's-eye view of Liberty City. The amount of detail and the draw distance is simply breathtaking. I did notice a couple of small pop-ins in a few spots in the video. I've been hearing mixed things on the pop-in issue, with some saying it's horrible and some saying they have no major issues with it (in regards to the Xbox 360 version). Guess we won't know for sure how bad it is until it's released Tuesday.

G4 has a few new videos out showing off some of the things you can do in the game, which you can check out on G4's site. X-Play will also have a one-hour special dedicated to all things GTA IV at 8 PM Eastern tomorrow. I will miss all of this because I'll be going into hiding until Tuesday at midnight.

Whats with the extended lolly-gagging at the airport?

Still, gets me pretty fucking excited, but either way I'm keeping my expectations as low as possible.

I'm tired of being disappointed...and dumb for buying into hype.

Pop up isnt to bad, compared to games like Oblivion and Saints Row its pretty good. I remember on Saints Row a Truck appeared in front of me on the Highway after i turned the camera round to see if i was still being chased. Resulting in me being thrown through the windshield.
