Future! Sonic CD lands tomorrow on Xbox Live photo

My favorite Sonic game has blasted straight from 1993 to the present. Sonic CD was my most played game on Sega CD back in the day, and I feel like it's going to rank up there this holiday season on my Xbox 360 starting on its release day, December 14.

I love that you can pick from both the Japanese and US soundtracks in this re-release. Some will also love that you can now play as Tails, though you won't see me going that route.

US Residents: You can get Sonic CD on Xbox Live tomorrow for only 400 Microsoft Points. It goes live on the PlayStation Network a bit later, on December 20, for $4.99. If you're in Europe, both are available tomorrow.

See 'where Sonic 4 began' in Sonic CD XBLA trailer

According to this new XBLA trailer for Sonic CD, we'll get to see "where the Sonic 4 saga began." Quite a bold claim, considering the scary Sonic fanboys hate Sonic 4 but have their tongues jammed firmly up Sonic CD's pucker...more

Sonic CD gets new trailer, celebrates port of crummy game

In this new video, SEGA basically tells us Sonic CD is arriving in the form of a shiny new port. The publisher overlooks this game constantly, which is hardly surprising because it's always felt like a cheap fan-made game th...more

Extrasolar does exoplanet exploration, but it is more than meets the eye

When I was talking to one of the developers of Extrasolar on the show floor at PAX East, I said something that I now regret. "This looks like something I would really like, but might not appeal to a ton of other people." He r...more
