This wasn't available at launch? I would have been really confused if I bought the game and it wasn't.

They're only doing this update because fans wanted it, not because they wanted to do it but didn't have enough time. I don't know where you got that idea. All this extra stuff is free, anyways. I'm hard pressed to think of another developer that follows through with their game with such post-release support and just general generosity. How many other games can you think of that would make all this extra stuff paid DLC? I can think of quite a few.

MAG was complete at launch, I feel. Maybe reserved in scope, but functionally done. This is just expanding that.

well valve still supports team fortress 2 pretty damn well
my point is, given the limited amount of mods and maps the retail game offered, all these dlc seems to belong in the retail version of the game
its pretty damn obvious the game is a much better deal now than it was back when it was released, yet i still think the team simply didnt have time to pull out all the ideas they wanted to put in the game

I'm glad that zipper is listening.... I was very much into MAG then BFBC:2 happened. I think I should pay my fellow Valor brothers(and sisters) a visit soon.

That's true, TF2 has had unbelievable support. Always updates and stuff. That game is pretty old, man! Also, I'm with Tubatic. MAG felt like a whole game at launch; all this free extra stuff is just (very delicious and satisfying) icing on the cake.

actually, the fact that you can only attack the enemies map and you can only defend your map has been a negetive factor for MAG imo.
It restricts playable maps 10fold, and the whole "oh that map is easy to defend" thing has been a big complaint or bitch point as I like to say.
I figure you can easily make up a senerio for your PMC to take back an overtaken map......or something.

I don't understand the hate. Tf2 on pc is a totally different game from when it was released. That doesn't mean it was released too early.

@Byronic Man, your totally right. I myself try to stay away from that talk because its all excuses anyway.
Its funny when your playing and everybody keeps doing the same thing over and over even though its not working. Sometimes you just need to take charge and hope people listen.
like sabatoge Vs sver, I like going far right and over the bridge but it only works if (your lucky & skilled) or you have support...i do need to start playing that again, its so different in the good way. I really like how everybody can (and should) be a medic.
The only valid complaint I have about MAG are those "leaders" that take it so serious that they just ruin it for everybody. while I'm on that note....the leaders that dont do shit are pretty annoying too. set frago's dammit!!! its so easy!

ok, wait a minute.....when I first read it I thought all 3 pmc's would fight at once.. but then it mentions some kind of tournament style. no I can't be bothered to read it again! haha
yeah I reda it again... best of 3 challenge something something....its not all 3 at once.. bummer it would be cool but very weird, you know 2 would end up going against one or one would stay back and watch the other 2 take each other out. It would never work.

They are going to have 3 factions on one map. The tournament style battles are for the "Clan Wars" they are going to be implementing.

At least there aren't any three way jokes yet, but more developers should do this, free DLC to keep the audience coming back and keep their fanbase happy.
i personally cant wait for the new dlc. i love MAG and everything about it. there are a few downsides, like the OIC's not doing their job properly and stuff, but hey, thats an individual problem made by the players, not the development team. although i am really happy with all this free DLC, cos lets face it, free Quality DLC is the best thing for a game to have as it keeps the fans happy and playing, i cant help but feel the need for a new Weapons Pack.... i fight for Valor, and as i have found, by playing Raven and SVER in the past, that Valors weapons are the greater of the bunch. the M4 is brilliant, and you couldnt ask for a better weapon, but in comparison to other games, like COD4 & MW2, MAG's weapons are rather few. especially SVER's.
