Future Halo novels to be set after the events of Halo 3 photo

Tor Books has announced more Halo novels. Yay reading! Karen Traviss will be penning the new adventures in a multi-book deal that will explore the events of the Halo universe after Halo 3 starting with the aftermath of the events that took place in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx

Karen is no stranger to the Halo books as she wrote the short story "Human Weakness" for Halo: Evolutions. Plus she's also responsible for writing bestselling novels set in the Star Wars and Gears of War universes.

As a Halo fanboy, I'm looking forward to the new books. I loved the first few but the last couple (Halo: Contact Harvest and Halo: The Cole Protocol) were pretty bad as they were about people that didn't really matter. More focus on the Spartans, please!

I loved contact harvest. It's nice to read a story that isn't centered around the cheif. Also, I cant wait. lately I cant get enough of the Halo universe.

Hmm...I dunno that author. The one's Eric Nylund wrote (Fall of Reach & First Strike are the two I've read by him) are awesome, but the rest are not as great.

I'll buy them anyway though, I'm a fool for this stuff.

I kinda liked Contact Harvest for fleshing out the backstory, but yeah The Cole Protocol was just plain terrible and effectively unnecessary.

Karen Traviss? Sweet. I dig her. My interest is piqued.

The end of Evolutions did hinted something big was going on (or the mentioning that even with the Convenient no longer existing, the galaxy may not be out of hot water yet).

i really wish we could get eric nylund to finish up the tale of the other spartans, but i guess he's wrapped up in his own endeavors, like the mortal coils books, which i recommend.

i'll end up snatching these up anyway cause i'm a sucker for halo literature.

Karen Traviss! Booo! That means there probably won't be anymore Gears of War novels after Anvil Gate.

The Cole Protocol was about Spartans. I rather liked it. Contact Harvest was about Johnson, but it was just a poorly written book, so... yeah.

Contact Harvest and The Cole Protocol weren't bad, they just weren't as good as The Fall of Reach or First Strike.

I wouldn't trust an author that thinks CH and CP were bad or unnecessary. If you don't want stories about the Halo universe than don't read it. The first four were all about the Chief, and it was cool to read about other characters and their journeys in the next two.

In my opinion Harvest was a brilliantly written book. I have read the first 5 or 6 books and I did enjoy the first one by Nylund the most, but I enjoyed all of them very much. I will read any thing Halo as long as the story reveals new things and the author is decent, and Harvest made both categories for me.
