Lego is good for self-contained stories, specially ones that don't ask you to put to much thought in the blocks or building, but oddly not really all that great for big, open, worlds that force you to use Lego like Lego should be use..

Funcom to develop a LEGO Minifigures MMO
Online game maker Funcom has just announced that they've signed an agreement with the LEGO Group to develop a massively multiplayer online game based on the Lego Minifigures franchise. How cool would that be!? "The market for family-friendly online experiences intended for children and youngsters is brimming with potential,"says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. "Being able to work with a world-renowned brand such as the LEGO brand to develop an MMO for this audience is incredibly exciting to us as game developers and for Funcom as a company. This is source material we all know and love and we simply cannot wait to get started working with the LEGO Group on realizing this exciting project." Given that this deal was just signed, details are still light, so there's no set release date yet. Funcom does say that they're looking for maximum accessibility with this MMO, and will be working with LEGO to make this part of the existing LEGO online experience. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Nothing for nothing, but after the last MMO, I don't expect much, no matter who's making it.
