Don't believe everything you read on the Internet -- Harmonix has not officially confirmed the full setlist for Rock Band 3, okay?
Yes, a video leaked online that reportedly showed off a list of unannounced tracks on the game's song selection screen. And yeah, we were basically embargoed to hell and back on personally commenting on it (we decided not to run it), but that's not confirmation that we can confirm that the list is real, either. Because you know, it hasn't been announced yet, right?
The Harmonix crew took some time out from its busy gamescom schedule to make a public statement on the matter, hereby confirming that it hasn't confirmed anything yet. And no, that's not the entire setlist being scrolled through on the screen back there. Because it would be irresponsible for Harmonix to accidentally reveal the setlist before our own embargo is up, and like, it wouldn't do that.
And we wouldn't post the entire alleged Rock Band 3 setlist (via Spawn Kill) after the break, either.

Ok, Nick you just got Ninja'd!... XD look blogs...
About damn time, I say.
That being said, Golden Earring's Radar Love makes this a day one purchase for me. I can't help it; it's my favorite song. Of all time.
What is wrong with this setlist? Sure there are a few oddballs, but it is a rather good eclectic mix. Harmonix has to appeal to a wide array of music fans (while also picking good songs to showcase the keyboard). That is no easy task. Sure I would have preferred more hard rock and less 80's, but I still think they have a good mix that appeals to a broader audience.
Though, I am disappointed that "Change(In The House Of Flies)" by Deftones isn't on the list. After it was absent from the Deftones pack I just knew it was going to be on disc :-(
Iknorite? Thank God!
I like this setlist. I like it a lot. When there's DLC every week I could care less what's already been in GH. Hell I welcome it. It's not like the on disc setlist is the end all be all.
...
Also about thirty others that I'm crazy excited for, but..
YOSHIMI!!
I love this setlist HARD.
ALBUM DLC PLEASE!
I never even thought of having the Flaming Lips in Rock Band before this... but YES!
Other than Rock Band 1 (and The Beatles: Rock Band..), this is the greatest setlist OF ALL TIME.
They've probably got enough songs licensed to do that. >_>
i came when i saw Metric there though, good looks harmonix.
You underestimate just how lazy Harmonix is. I mean, they keep releasing the same game over and over again and all of these tracks are just ripped from Guitar Hero discs, right!?!? (Jokes, people. I'm here all week; try the veal.)
Unless, of course, you are making a joke about how there are THREE Megadeth songs on-disc for WoR. Which seems more likely.
Game still looks stellar and I can't wait for GH:WoR, RB3, DJ:R, DJH2 and PG:RotSS. Music games FTW!
BTW, if I see anyone complaining about GH DLC getting RB repeats anymore, I'm jumping on dat ass. ;)
...Also Power of Love.
FUCK YOU IN THE FACE WITH A CACTUS!!!!!
In case you haven't noticed since it's been going on for several years now, Rock Band and Guitar Hero nearly copy each other note for note on getting certain subsets of songs secured for licensing. If you're seeing songs from GH4/5 in here, well, it's probably because Harmonix licensed the song last year and rather than drop it as shitty charted piano-to-plastic guitar tracks, it's got a keyboard to use now.
Either way, I'm fine with the list. I think GH has set itself up to be a consistently different and more difficult experience set up for those who want to be pestered with all the "innovations" Activision comes up with to stick on a plastic guitar body.
I think a bar has been set for RB3 with keyboards and the addition of the pro-mode capable guitars that uses a fully functional guitar as a controller. That's damn cool if you ask me.
Not that I'd be buying it. I'm happy to stick with my fumbly plastic keys and guitar. :)
