Quantcast

After months of rumors, here it is -- the full set list for the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour, direct from Activision Blizzard. The game will feature a total of 83 tracks on disc, all master recordings, in addition to original recordings by Ted Nugent, Zakk Wylde, and more.

There's not much more to say; the full set list is after the jump. Now that you've seen it, what do you think? Better than the competition? I'm talking about Konami's Rock Revolution, of course.

Dammit, you beat me to this by like, three minutes. GOD. D:

Anyways, I'm pretty happy with the setlist. Can't wait to get my rock on with Tool and CCR. Still find it weird that they use so many songs from Rock Band 2 though.

woah, not too shabby. Too bad I've got no more room in my apartment for new instruments. Plus I can't go back to the sub par guitar hero interface when I've been privileged with Rock Band's much sleeker and sexier interface.

What Activision calls a playlist, I call a GAYlist. Harmonix is poised to crush, CRUSH GH:WT. Korn + Linkin Park + Blink 182 in the same game = Fail.

Menelaus, are you joking? Those are three songs out of eighty-six, and the awesomness of Jimi Hendrix, The Eagles, and - hell, why not - Michael Jackson more than make up for them.

Pretty solid setlist. I'll probably end up renting it at least.

That's a good setlist. Quite a few are "wow."

Prisoner of Society
Mr. Crowley
And of course, Tool

I'm buying the RB2 disc and picking up the GH bundle for sure.

It's a resounding "meh" from me, but then again, I said that about RB and still end up smacking seven shades of beat out of the drums... I know I'm going to end up with both, I just need to work out which instruments work wih each on which platforms and then factor in UK release dates and... ah screw it... I'll just go play RB instead...

Didn't a certain someone on this site say this rumor was false or something? I don't know...could be just me.

Band on the Run?

*orgasms*

I feel bad for people playing career mode on vocals who run into Satch Boogie. LEAST. FUN. EVER.

My, what a curious time to release their full setlist... (cough)

It looks pretty good. There's some "OMFG" songs on there (Band on the Run, Beat It), but otherwise, I'm fine with just Rock Band 2 (especially since, like, 1/3 of WT's setlist is already in RB or RB2 anyway).
SteamyV's Avatar - Comment posted on 09/12/2008 12:08

Thank god it turned out to be the Michael Jackson version of Beat It. I was worried when just the song title got leaked a while back.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is a nice surprise, as is Kick Out the Jams. I might actually pick this up now that I know there's more than just Tool to keep me interested.

I only have one very big problem with this setlist and that would be Tokio Hotel - Monsoon. Me being german I can tell you that this has to be the crappiest shit that ever has been put on a game soundtrack. Fpr those of that don't know Tokio Hotel is basically a bunch of kids with no talent whatsoever. My buddy who is barely able to play "Come as you are" on his guitar could probably do a better job than these kids do.
Other than that I'm still waiting for a Guitar Hero: Heavy Metal.
I personally would love to play Children of Bodom or Three Inches of Blood and the like directly out of the Box, but it sort of seems that this will never happen.

So many of these are on Rock Band 2 or RB's DLC. I bet eventually most of what we see here will be DLC for RB. I'm gonna pick it up eventually because there are songs I want to play, but I'm not rushing. GH lost me when they decided to do the band oriented games.

Very very meh setlist.
Nothing in the setlist that jumps out and make me say "Holy shit awesome" unlike in the RB2 list (see Psycho Killer, others).
Others I like on here are repeats from RB2.
Looks like I'll be skipping this like GH3.

Yep, I'ma pick this up later this year when I start tiring out on RB2. Got some good tracks, some meh tracks and some same tracks, but it's different enough to merit a purchase.

Some really crappy bands up there... But some REALYY AWESOME ones as well... To many to note each one here, so I'll just note three songs out of the many that have me really excited.

The Eagles - “Hotel California”
The Doors - “Love Me Two Times” (No Bass Guitar? :p )
Steve Miller Band - “The Joker”

I fucking hate the Eagles.

(actually I really like the Eagles, I just like Big Lebowski references more...)

Also, eagerly looking forward to drunks douching it up with the vocals to Freak on a Leash.

Here is to hoping Kathaarian Life Code is DLC. Or some Operation Ivy.

And At The Drive-In!!!! Hell Yes!

Meh, I guess it's pretty good, it's just that I don't know a lot of those songs (at least by name), and of the ones that I do recognize, many are in Rock Band 2. I guess I'll pick it up eventually, though.

There are a few songs on that list that I hope make it to Rock Band. Otherwise, I might have to pick up the GH:WT disc, but I'm reluctant to if it has ridiculously impossible Achievements like GHIII did.

Question, can you pick up the game and use the guitar from GH3 or do you have to have all the new crap, drums/mic etc. to be able to use it?
