Full 41-song Guitar Hero: Aerosmith tracklist revealed

Full 41-song Guitar Hero: Aerosmith tracklist revealed photo
     Xbox 360

In addition to the hands-on preview that I did of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, I posted a partial list of the songs that would be in the game -- the 25 tunes that make up its first five tiers. Now, thanks to VideoGamesBlogger, we’ve got the whole megillah for you fine folks: all 41 songs that will be playable in Activision’s upcoming tribute to the best-selling band out of Boston.

The entire list, including the names of the venues and the tiers, can be found after the jump (it’s organized alphabetically by song title). There are six tiers in all, with five songs per tier save for the last one -- it features as its sixth playable track a “Guitar Battle vs Joe Perry,” an original composition from the band’s lead guitarist. The ten bonus tracks comprise “The Vault”; all of them are either by Aerosmith or Joe Perry (he released a self-titled solo album in 2005).

VideoGamesBlogger was also nice enough to include links to YouTube videos for the songs when available, so you can at least find out what they sound like if you’re not familiar with them by name. Speaking of familiarity, when I showed the setlist to a friend who was on the fence about this game, he remarked, “A lot of notable singles were excluded.” What do you guys think?

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will be out this Sunday, June 29th. If you’re thinking about buying it, hit up Hamza’s post for pricing details.

[Via VideoGamesBlogger -- thanks, Joe!]

Damn it I was hoping they would put all their well known #1 songs in this so they can piss off and stay out of all future GHs and RBs.

I've never been a big Aerosmith fan... the only song I heard by them that I've enjoyed is Dream On, which isn't worth the price of the game. I think activision might learn their lesson when not a lot of people purchase this game :(

suprised they included "Mama kin" and "Pandoras Box". Unfortunately the only song off their original album is "Dream On".

Aerosmith's first 5 albums were great. Their "comeback" period (Permanent Vacation onward) is too ballad heavy and generally over-produced, corny, commercial crap.

oops, my bad. "Mama Kin" is off the debut album.

heres a link to the studio version (They've never been a good sounding live band):

erm it could have just been DLC an it woulda been cheaper as the target audience is prob very narrow, why not waste their time on gh4 coz that is where the money is

I'm goingg to go against the grain here. I like the track listing, and I liked the ol Aerosmith all the way through the first half of Get a Grip (ballads ftl). It should be interesting to hear the couple tracks that were re-recorded. Compare the original Dream On (why is that missing?!?!?) with how they sounded around Pump....I'll be picking it up.

I really hope they haven't deliberately missed a lot of songs just because they will use them in future guitar hero games.

Yeah, they should just release the good tracks as a DLC pack in Rock Band. Just call it the Guitar Zero pack or something.

The guitar battle against Joe Perry isn't at the end, and the list's ordering of number is a bit mixed up in every tier. But screw it, no Cryin', no I don't wanna miss a thing. Wtf!

Since Aerosmith has been my favorite band since I was a kid, I'm delighted about the game. Other than missing a couple of tracks (like Chip Away The Stone, Sick as a Dog, and Dude Looks Like a Lady), I feel it's solid.

No reason that these missing tracks and others can't be downloaded later, right?

FAIL.

I'm a fairly big Aerosmith fan - what's w/ all the non-Aero songs in there? This would have been a perfect opportunity to include some lesser-known tracks like "Round and Round", or "No More, No More", and others like that. I appreciate the inclusion of "Combination" from "Rocks" (their best album), but this list is so incomplete. I was really looking forward to this, but I'm very disappointed in this.

Oh my...can I say that I'm just waiting for Guitar Hero: Metallica. I honestly don't care for Guitar Hero anymore, but all they have to do is mention Metallica's name and I'm all over it. As long as it consists of their first four...maybe five albums, that is.
