Frozen Synapse sees RED with a new expansion
I absolutely love Mode 7's tactical shooter Frozen Synapse. Watching your units execute orders that you spent so much time plotting out is incredibly satisfying, even if it goes wrong. When things do go wrong (and trust me, they will), you will always know why. Whenever you lose in a game you need to know why. Otherwise, how will you get better? Frozen Synapse adds on some new content today, in both the free and "gotta use money" variants. Original Frozen Synapse will get a Hotseat Mode, allowing multiplayer from the same console; Timed Turns, forcing players to make their move quickly (!!!); and Preset Multiplayer Maps, which gets rid of the randomization in favor of fairness in competitive play. All of this will be automatically added to your game, free of charge. The RED expansion adds, other than the color red, a slew of new features. For $10 you'll get new missions, a new unit, new multiplayer mode, cooperative play, new music, and even more. Between this and the Binding of Isaac expansion, I think I know how my time will be allotted. You can pick up the expansion (and the core game) from Mode 7's website or Steam. Up for some coop or a butt whoopin'? You can find me in the Texas server under the alias P-Dude. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I own it but I can't help but think how much better this would be on the Pippin, just think, the controls will fit perfectly! 5:00 AM on 05.23.2013 Far Cry 3's map editor updated with Blood Dragon contentMark IV style mutha f*ckas! Far Cry 3's map editor was just updated to include Blood Dragon's neon packed designs. This is just for the buildings and stuff, and doesn't include the creatures like the actual Blood Dragons. 5:00 PM on 05.10.2013 Review: Victoria II: Heart of DarknessTo call Victoria II dense would be a gross understatement. It's a pound cake, with each ingredient -- the tangled politics, vast wars, and simulated economies -- adding greater depth and increasingly complex, interweaving sys...

11:00 AM on 04.29.2013 Review: Dragon's Dogma: Dark ArisenI thought Jim was spot on with his review of the original Dragon's Dogma. It had grand ideas, but in many areas, it failed to execute them, and was marred by some fairly glaring design choices. With a full sequel, Capcom coul...
