I played the SNES Front Mission game (well, one of them if there were sequels) and it was pretty damn awesome turn-based strategy. It's a shame they're moving away from that since there's already an abundance of shooter-type games on the market today (although not so many concerning mechs).
As I love the idea of piloting a giant robot (who doesn't?), I hope this game turns out to be really good...
If anyone can direct me to more information / articles/ what-have-you about this game, I will be very thankful.

For oversized cockpits, the ME109 in Iron Eagle III was criminally wrong. The show's Token Fat Guy had enough room to play basketball in there. In reality the jerries had to pick smaller-than-average dudes just so they'd fit.
That, and I don't expect much from Double Helix.
I'd prefer a turn-based FM most definitely, but I doubt there have been huge changes to the design since the first FM. I really like the sRPG framework, but a lot of games are kinda boring inside of it.
As for me, I'm pretty excited for this. The gameplay footage I saw looked pretty damned cool, and I'll be pre-ordering right quick. Especially since doing so gets ya 2 classic wanzers.
