Man, I feel like a hypocrite after I said the game was shit, but I eventually fell in love with it and this makes me incredibly happy.

That'd be nice, but more likely, Ubisoft will just assume that we want a new sequel and portable spin-off on a yearly basis. Enjoy this game while it's still fresh!

I personally loved the fuck out of Bastion and now From Dust, so it's obvious that Jim Sterling's taste is VASTLY different from mine and won't be using his reviews to gauge whether I should purchase or not.

It's arty, it's not a shooter, there are no space marines, it's not a sequel or spin-off to existing IP and, well, it's a FREAKING RTS. How much more niche can you get? Yet it breaks sales records.

Played the demo, wasn't a fan. I was hoping it would be a little more Sid Meier, but its always good to hear that an original IP is doing well. Can't say the same for the $15 dollar trend that this data will surely support.
What was the next best selling title? I don't know of any Ubisoft XBLA games, I assume it's something like "Hedgehogz" or "Manateez".
The resurgence of the god game begins. We might finally get B&W3 but it will be shite given the state of Lionhead.
I still say the reason this did so well is because the industry is clamoring for another Black & White but Molyneux is busy wanking on Fable. And I like Fable(just started part 3).

And I was not among them. I agree with Jim, that game is fucking boring. I was tired of it before the demo was even over. Seriously, you can't build a game around one gameplay mechanic.
Bastion is great. Was hooked after the demo. Still need to try this though. ITSP also looks sweet. Wish I hadn't spent most of my monies though. With Deus Ex around the corner and Aliens Infestation, I'm Danny near tapped on my gaming budget. It's great to be able to bitch about too many awesome games though.

I got bored before the demo was up, too. I also took issue with the camera and the stupidity of tribal people who walk into the air and just stand there. That said, I still want to get it on PC. I just feel like there's probably more to it than what I got from the demo. *crosses fingers*

@Rammstein: Naw, I played the demo, thought it was shit, played it again, liked it enough to buy the game. I dismissed Jim's review almost entirely.
I can see this game being better on the PC to be honest due to the way the game will control (which should be better) and better control of the camera -both of which were my major issues with the XBL version.
Holy shit, a God Game that people are getting excited about? Jesus, there is some hope in this world.
