[Quite possibly the greatest slot machine ever. Also, pic unrelated.]

Ha ha! Gotcha!

This has absolutely nothing to do with Street Fighter or fighting games in general! Or does it? No. No it does not. Possibly.

We are literally right around the corner from the yearly onslaught of videogames for the fall and winter seasons. Not only that, we are also a few short months away from two brand new, next-gen consoles with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One both hitting the market this holiday season. Knowing this, I have a question for everyone here: what's going to be your go-to multiplayer game this year?

Will it be the new Call of Duty: Ghosts? Perhaps Battlefield 4? Neither of those tickle your fancy? How about Grand Theft Auto V or Killzone: Mercenary? As someone who would love to see our community-driven playdates grow, I am absolutely dying to know what all of you will be playing in the next few months.

Let me know what you'll be playing in the comments below! Who knows, you may just be rewarded for answering...

OK, let’s get to the real reason why we're here: the GAMES!

Friday Night Fights

New to FNF? Read this! Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It's a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!

The planning for FNF starts in the forums, where community members sign up to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Gamertag, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up in the community blogs thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, and I recap it all here on the front page to give it a bit more exposure.

To join in, simply send a friend request to the match host! If you'd rather host something yourself, sound off in the comments section below!

Brett Makedonski's personal picks for Game of the Year 2014

2014 was the most hectic twelve months of my life. Up until late September, I'm fairly certain I spent more of the year on the road than at home. I did so much travelling that I honestly considered eschewing a top five games ...more

Jonathan's personal GOTY for best butt goes to...

The Captain Falcon amiibo is apparently pretty hard of get a hold of right now. Through a strange series of events, I ended up with one last night. Without getting into all the details, I'll let you know that I ended up stan...more

Chris Carter's personal picks for Game of the Year 2014

Despite what people may say, I thought 2014 was an excellent year. Heck, nearly every year is great for gaming. I played over 300 titles across all platforms, a little more than last year -- but mostly that's because of my pr...more
