Fresh screenshots for Mega Man Universe photo

It's surprising to see Capcom push out anything related to Mega Man Universe in this weird post-PAX, pre-TGS time period, but we'll definitely take it.

Over on Capcom-Unity, we're shown pictures of character customization and the level-building tools. Depending on which parts you choose for your Mega Man, the abilities at your disposal will shift. "Aside from Mega Man themed stages, there are a variety of custom stage parts that will be revealed soon."

Sounds like we'll be getting stage sprites from other Capcom games, doesn't it? Try to contain yourself until TGS; Dale and Jonathan will have us covered.

From the start, I wished that Mega Man Universe would just be a super powered version of the level editor from Mega Man Powered Up. Looks like wishes do come fucking true.

And Magnalon, I think this is a PSN/XBLA title. It'll probably be closer to $6 than $60.

@Jon
I know :D

I just wanted to hand them cash!

I had a Mega Man fansite back in the day that I ran with a friend of mine. I literally recorded robot master/Wily strategy videos for EVERY Mega Man game, from 1 to Rockman and Forte (pre-GBA version).

We literally played the Mega Man v. Bass mini-game in Mega Man 7 for over 100 hours, and talked non-stop about a mass level creator. It's finally a reality!

I don't get these Little Big Megaman comments. What does the Dustin Hoffman movie have to do with this game? Technically wouldn't Little Big Man + Mega Man = Whomp 'Em?

Put Megaman X & co. in the game and you have yourselves a guaranteed sale. Until then, just a really secure sale.

I'm hoping that Capcom's pushing this out because they're saving TGS for an even bigger Megaman announcement. Especially if you consider that Tron Bonne was just announced for MvC3 at the same time (and not at TGS as you would expect). Maybe, just maybe, they're saving space/hyping up for a MegaMan Legends/Rockman Dash announcement.

I never experienced the level building stuff in Mega Man Powered Up, so I am fucking pumped for this. I foresee hours upon hours of entertainment to be had here.

That looks like exactly how the stage editor in Mega Man Powered Up works. It's so sad that came and Maverick Hunter X came out so early in the PSP life-cycle, they'd probably do at least a little better now...
