Freedom Wars' English trailer can't explain all the headphones

3:45 PM on 06.30.2014

In its obvious Monster Hunter parallel, you might forget that Freedom Wars is aiming to be story-focused. It has some ludicrous broad strokes. Existence alone is a crime worth one million years in prison. Apparently there are no fashion police, though, as everyone trots about in goofy clothes and headphones.

The subtitles in the above story trailer also give some more details. You are, naturally, The Chosen One. There is a woman who needs to be both saved and protected. There is a bad guy who wants to end the world. Simple stuff.

They can take our lives, but they will never take our Freedom Wars

Freedom Wars is basically the Vita's answer to Monster Hunter. Eight player co-op hunting giant beasts to try and reduce your one million year prison sentence. Yes, it is every citizen's God given right in this world to be in prison for a million years. I wonder if sentencing begins at conception, or what. more
