Since I haven't booted my Xbox 360 up yet today, I haven't seen the glory that is the new dashboard update. From what I hear, it's decent. Not super useful, and not really good or bad, just "decent."
Just in time for Facebook, Twitter, Last.FM, Netflix, Sky Player, Halo Waypoint and 1 vs. 100, Microsoft is dishing out some free Xbox LIVE Weekends to let Silver members see what the fuss is about. If you fall into this category, you'll definitely want to check out that last one.
Major Nelson tells us the free online fun is split up into two distinct periods:
- European Xbox LIVE regions: November 25th from 17:00 GMT until November 30th at 17:00 GMT
- All other regions: November 20th from 12:00 PM EST until November 23rd at 12:00 PM EST.
Are any of you Silver members thinking of taking advantage of this offer? I can't wait to see how many more Modern Warfare 2 player there will be when this goes into effect.

The most confusing thing for me still is the demos. They want me to pay £40 a year, to download an advert to pay another £40-£50 pound for a game? So I'm charged for advertising? I guess they think I'm hyped for demos.
I will take full advantage of this by blowing off school and work to play Modern Warfare 2 with my friends. I mean, "squad".
