Microsoft has released free downloadable content for Kinect Sports today which you can go and download now from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The Kinect Sports Party Pack adds six mini-games with names like "Super Striker," "Pinvaders," "King of the Ring," and "Fruit Splatter."
There are also three new mascots, "Zippy Zombie," "Champion Chicken" and "Sportastico." And if you're into racking up those achievements, there are ten to snag here for 250 Gamerscore.
It's smart of Microsoft to release this sort of free content for Kinect games. Practically everything was already on the disc (the DLC has a filesize of 7.6 MB), but making the content strictly available through the Marketplace nudges consumers who may have bought into the console on Kinect but haven't yet taken the device online. And that's Microsoft's real objective, to get more devices connected into Live.

Anyone else think sofik88 would be frothing at the mouth right now in a fit of rage had Sony pulled the same stunt?
Can't wait til next gen when the xbox takes 360 games off their servers so that you can't download the content already on disc.
