Free Killzone: Liberation (PSP) download pack coming photo

This post is for the four or five people who are still playing Killzone: Liberation on the PSP. Everyone else can go back to sleep.

Gameplanet Store NZ has received word from Sony that a free download pack for the PSP top-down shooter will be made available on May 21. Players will be able to get the pack through the PSP download service or from the new launched Killzone website.

Pack contents:

  • * Continuing the storyline (more than 2 hours of gameplay)
  • * 4 new missions with new environments (also playable in co-op)
  • * New enemies, challenge games, vehicles and boss-fights
  • * Infrastructure play of all multiplayer maps (max. 6 players)
  • * 2 new arena’s
  • * 2 player ‘head to head’ mode
  • * Headset support
  • * Unlock additional content both in-game and on Killzone.com
All of that for free? Seems like a pretty solid deal to me.

Sweet!

I recently bought this game on Amazon for just over $20. I haven't even played it yet (I'm still hopelessly addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh GX), but knowing that I'll get about 2 more hours out of the single player game (that many reviewers complained was a little too short) is pretty awesome.

Wow, something must be wrong with them. If they were Microsoft, that'd be at least $20 worth of new content.

All these comments represent the words of a person, nay, a God that is the INTERNET, lashing away at Microsoft for lack of free content. Hell, even the Gears of War new map pack which was supposed to be free is tagged at 10 bucks.

I love this game, but it's so damn hard. But still, free stuff.
