In honor of St. Patrick's Day (and regularly getting shown up by Rock Band) Activision has released a free track pack of three Dropkick Murphys songs. The pack consists of master tracks of "Famous for Nothing", "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya", "Flannigan's Ball", and disappointment that you can't sing or drum along with the aforementioned tunes.
While new (and especially free) DLC for Guitar Hero III is usually welcomed with open arms by those not fortunate (or spendy) enough to own Rock Band, I have to echo the sentiments of one of my inimitable co-editors in saying this really is too little too late. Each announcement of new Guitar Hero III content, rather than filling me with glee at having new songs to play, makes me that much more apathetic toward the franchise, and pushes me closer to finally ponying up the dough for a more well-rounded music game experience.
