Free App of the Day: 2360: Battle for Cydonia photo

2360: Battle for Cydonia is a really fun little shooter that makes good use of the iPhone's unique interface. It's free thanks to the freeappaday initiative and it's definitely worth snapping up while it remains gratis. Rather than try and recreate twin sticks, Cydonia's little mech walks along a line that you trace on the screen, and shoots in two directions determined by where you tap. Simple but effective.

The only real downside to Cydonia is its somewhat slow pace, but it's well crafted, looks good, and should provide shooter fans with a solid little treat. This one is a highly recommended download, so make sure you get it!

If it's anything like the cover art of Muse's Knights of Cydonia I'm all over it.

@mrandy
yeah, I've only got a couple spots left on my homescreens too.

I think OS 4.0 update is going to fix that though.
