It's kind of pretentious to call the Wii a failure, but this video was funny. I do remember imagining, back in the day, swinging the damn sword. Hell, I still do and I've played "Skyward Sword." Damn failed potential.
Im finishing up skyward sword before the release of xenoblade, Wii definetly doesn't suck right now. But this video is still funny as hell. And flaming hot cheetohs are the stuff, real talk.
Mildly funny... but, all jokes aside, the Wii has been a technological, commercial and entertainment success.
Was it perfect? No.
Is it a sign of industry growing pains? Yes.
Is that a bad thing? Nope!
Plus, I gotta say, the lower dev costs allowed for some quirky games that never would have gotten green-lit on the HD platforms - and those were my favorite games of this generation.
... oh, and Nintendo has 1st party products too. Did you know they were awesome? =)

My father almost bought a whole bunch of apple stock when it was dirt cheap, but my mother reminded him of a company they had invested in that went under.

I even understand that the Cheetos was an paid merchandise, but how much he got paid for say "soon as you can... buy apple"?
Joe Loporcaro there was honestly like dozens of easier ways to get your game out to an audience than going through the Wii. I mean if it didn't have Mario or Zelda then that shit wasn't selling. I mean you have the PSN, Arcade, XBOX Indie, Minis, Steam, and IOS. The Wii was probably the worst bet if you were a small company. I think the only succsess story was Bit.Trip and that shit would've sold well regardless of platform.
