I'm so far from being convinced that this pic is legit. If you're going to leak unreleased content for a game, why would you ever leak just one pic, and why would that pic be of just the upper part of the screen? Why not shoot video, like that vid of Jill in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 that we got a while back? Unless this pic was taken with a super secret spy cam deep within the bowels of Capcom's R&D, there's really explanation for why it's so unrevealing.
Still, I thought this info was worth posting. Not only could it be legit, but more importantly, it's interesting. I know a lot of critics of the gaming press hate it when we post rumors like this, but the fact is, this kind of stuff can be fun to think about. As a huge fan of the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, I know I'm having fun deciding if I think this is real or not, and I figured you guys would too.
One thing I know I've decided is that I hope that all the DLC characters for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 are cheap, and available for sale on an individual basis. I'd be happy to buy Frank, Doc Ock, and Jill, but I may want to pass on whoever else Capcom eventually puts up for sale. I love Shuma Gorath and Strider as much as the next guy, but I can just boot up Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 if I want to pay them a visit.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
Also, those mugshots of Frank and Strider look.....off.
I would LIKE for these to be real (and who knows, they COULD be), but for now, Imma have to say no.
Two reasons why this is fake.
First of all, it should not say their full names. It should simply be Frank and Strider. You don't see Albert Wesker, Chris Redfield, Nathan Spencer and Mike Haggar when you play as them.
Other reason is obvious. This is Strider's Namco X Capcom artwork. To fool us, he simply swapped the position of the legs, and added some basic shading so it looks (kind of) Marvel vs. Capcom 3's art style.
The artwork can be found here: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/7597/285790-strider_namco_large.jpg
Also, something that might disappoint you guys (It sure did for me): http://iplaywinner.com/news/2011/3/5/interview-with-mvc3-producer-ryota-niitsuma-on-why-spectator.html
There is a difference between Strider and Strider Hiryu. Strider Hiryu is owned by Capcom, whereas Strider is owned by Moto Kikaku.
There was no real Hsien-Ko pic. There WAS a Sentinel pic, but THAT was an ACTUAL full picture of Sentinel.
Where's my Ken with the Diagonal Hurricane kick like in MVC2 and MVSF?
No Ken No Buy
Completely fake.

I'm definitely more inclined to think this is fake because of that artwork, but I'm still not 100% sure.
@ chefkilledmeat - I would definitely want Shuma and Strider in MvC3... for now additional cost. It just isn't worth it to me to pay extra for characters I technically already have in a fighting game, or in this case, fighting games.
I may actually hold off on Frank as well, as I have him in TvC. I'm waiting to see how differently he plays.
Where is my J Jonah Jameson
@BigsharkZ
No matter how many times I look at those two pics of Strider, they just don't match up to me. Also, as far as I know, Shuma Gorath and Viewtiful Joe's full names are represented on their life bars.
But yeah, FRANK WEST! Get some war-time photojournalism done in MvC3!
Oh I wasn't looking at the right hand side of the screen, I thought you were comparing the lifebar pic to the one you linked. Yeah, now I can see that this is most likely fake.
The game is awesome, and I'll buy pretty much any dlc characters that come along, just hope that Gambit is one of them...
@Frogboss:
Could be Strider Hiryu's assist move.
