When did energy drinks become a cultural thing? A few days ago in Germany, FPS Brain XB200 Liquid was revealed to the videogame masses, eager for an edge. The drink is being touted as the “world’s strongest energy drink” and we’re being told it “drastically prolongs the onset of gamer’s fatigue.”
The drink is made from guarana, and apparently a ton of it as the press release clearly states that the recommended daily intake is “half a vial.” In addition to firing off massive amounts of neurons, it can also be used as a dietary supplement. Although, the calorie count wasn’t specifically mentioned.
Is there really any need for this? Do any of you find yourselves lumped over your keyboards wishing you had an energy drink to toss down your throat to relieve your “gamer’s fatigue?”

With the number of gamers that do probably drink energy drinks it might be a nice market from them to target. Sort like the pizza ordering in Everquest.
I like the coffee energy drinks from Monster, those are tasty and besides that Full throttle is up there!
energy consumed in a drink (calories) + energy not being used because you are sitting on your arse all night = fat gamer
You don't need more energy or calories while you're gaming unless your stomach is interfering aurally with your video games, you need to be more alert if you're falling asleep.
Someone make me an alertness drink and i might buy it....but not for gaming. I'll use it for work where I get so bored i start commenting on the Dtoid posts because i can't focus on my boring work anymore. >_>

Every point I'd make has been said. Energy drink = gamer grub, makes you fat, waste of money et cetera.
