It always bums me out to think that the mere inclusion of split screen in a game can be considered newsworthy. As great as Internet gaming is, it wasn't so long ago that multiplayer with friends was a much more personal ordeal -- more than anything else, I miss being able to punch people in the arm for being super cheap.
But enough of that talk; this is supposed to be a post bearing happy news. Matt Thomas from United Front Games informs us of a heartwarming development on the ModNation Racers scene: the game will feature 4-person split screen, like all good cart racers should.
Furthermore, two-player split screen can work in conjunction with online races, should you want to take a nearby friend on an Internet journey -- wait, that came out all wrong. The gist of this story is that ModNation Racers is pretty well covered when it comes to on-the-couch tomfoolery. Cheers to that, UFG!

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
In fact we as a community could make a whole set of pokemon carts! That would be sick!
