Four new Wii VC games ready for you to blow your wad on photo

As promised, Nintendo delivered four new Virtual Console games today for you to download on your Wii -- provided you have the funds to pay for it. The games now available are: Donkey Kong Jr. (SNES, 500 points), Victory Run (TurboGrafx 16, 600 points), Columns (Genesis, 800 points) and Ristar (Genesis, 800 points).

Besides Toe Jam & Earl, I think Columns was one of my most played Genesis games back in the day. I used to love that sh*t. Now though? Maybe not so much with Lumines sitting on my 360 waiting to be abused.

But will Lumines make the headlines of a blog in 16 years?

Isn't DK Jr. NES, not SNES? Hense the 500 point price tag over the 800 tag of SNES games. (Not to mention it was an NES game)

I've always thought the cover of Columns looked like to guys fondling the breasts of a large female stag beetle. Just wanted to put that out there.

LOL. Lumines already dead thanks to their microtransactions snafu. I am still bitter. Did they fix the 2 player lag yet?

Niero, it's clearly a Roman Water Balloon fight.

And by the looks of it, some bad shit's 'bout to go down...

I seem to remember Columns being awesome until you got up to something like level 7. At that point, the game was so hard, it was impossible to keep up with anything that was going on.

Bla. I just wish they would release Kid Icarus and Link to the past. I have been jonesing to play those games and I can't find my NES cartridge and I never had an SNES. I tinkered with them on EMU on my PC but playing on a keyboard sucked and I don't like console gaming at my desk. The downside of being an early adopter I guess. Bring on Kid Icarus!

I'm hurting something awful for the Megaman series on NES. I am fearful, though, because of the anthology released for GC (the one with the farked up button layout).

I downloaded Ristar to see what that one was like. It's alright, I guess, but it didn't seem to really be all that special.

Didn't Nintendo have an awesome puzzle game for the NES too? Something about Russians and stacking falling stuff... Oh yeah, HATRIS!

Seriously, I want Tetris Attack for download. Nay, I DEMAND it.
