Found: Gears 2 title update and 'Snowblind' Achievements photo

It’s safe to say that Epic’s third title update for Gears of War 2 is well on its way to hitting the planned March 24 release date. This afternoon, a Joystiq reader spotted a full listing of the unreleased content's Achievements on Microsoft’s Xbox Web site. The majority of the 'Cheevos reward players for reaching multiplayer rank benchmarks -- the notable addition of the title update. The catch is that players will have to purchase the ‘Snowblind’ map pack in order to be rewarded for their multiplayer badassery. (It's a bummer that Microsoft doesn't allow developers to make Achievements whenever.)

We’ve provided the full listing post-jump, but here’s a drool-worthy excerpt:

  • Rookie Gear (10 points) - Earn enough multiplayer experience to reach level 5 (Public only)
  • Battle-Tested Gear (30 points) - Earn enough multiplayer experience to reach level 25 (Public only)
  • Battle-Hardened Gear (50 points) - Reach level 50 and play a match on each of the 4 Snowblind Map Pack maps (Public only)
  • Veteran Gear (75 points) - Reach level 100 and win a match on each of the 4 Snowblind Map Pack maps (Public only)
Speaking of Gears of War 2, we’re throwing one hell of a Friday Night Fights tonight. Destructoid and Microsoft have come together to shower participants in goodies. We have a Gears-themed trucker hat, a limited edition art book, four golden weapon codes and six COG tags to give away. All you have to do is boot up Gears of War 2 multiplayer, check out this post to find the hosts, etc., and rock out with your chainsaw out.

See you tonight!

You have to buy Snowblind? A shame I have to cough up the cash to show off my pimped out title name.

I really fugging hate the practice of adding achievements to games before you buy the relevant DLC.
