I love me some Forza Motorsport 3, and you know I love me some game music. The soundtrack in Forza 3 is good, but it's the kind I find I want to take with me when I drive IRL. Besides, I've recently found joy doing the whole using overdramatic opera songs with with the sound effects off while racing thing. Try it. It's amazing.
Now I can take the Forza 3 OST on the road, as it is now available on iTunes today, as well as at Sumthing Else's digital download site. Forza Motorsport 3 Original Soundtrack includes 90 minutes of ambient electronica music created by award-winning composer and producer Lance Hayes, aka DJ Drunken Master.
He said, "This was truly a rare and amazing project to work on. I knew it had to be perfect because this was Forza but we also agreed that it had to be music that could stand on its own. We were looking for the right balance of listen-ability and edge."
And that it does. Great music for the game, but maybe even better on its own. Check it out, buy a song or two, and support game soundtracks.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
ES Posthumus? If so I'm totally with you on that one.
Wasn't a fan of Forza 3's soundtrack, but then again I have it turned off during racing for my iPod's music instead.
I just thought that was funny.
Yeah, Halo. It had a great soundtrack (All of them do). Deal with it.
Not a fan of
Forzas soundtrack but....
@ Arkhon - Damn right, bit of Heatseaker and A Whole Lotta Rosie. Custom soundtracks are the best thing about modern consoles.
My personal favorites are Highway to Hell, Jailbreak, and Rock and Roll Train.
I didn't say it was the best of the decade, so stop making things up. However, it is pretty damn good. Definitely better than Forza's.
