Forza 3 GameStop exclusive limited edition details revealed photo

Poking around the GameStop webpage we found that a page for the GameStop exclusive Forza 3 limited edition package has been added, and we thought you might like to see what it comes with.

Aside from the sexy new racer, Forza Motorsport 3, you'll also get:

  • a Forza Motorsport 2GB USB keychain
  • a Forza Motorsport VIP Membership
  • a five-car exclusive VIP car pack
  • another five-car "collector's edition" pack
  • an exclusive Forza 3 dashboard theme for your Xbox 360
Get this exclusive pack for $79.99, set to ship on October 12. There's also a pre-order bonus for both online and in-store customers that gives players the 2010 Audi R8 V10 as a downloadable car.

So the only real-world item you'll gain from this limited edition package is a 2GB memory stick with the Forza logo on it. And 2GB memory sticks are like $5 now.

These "exclusive pre-order" things are becoming pretty bullshit.

Telltale's pre-order incentive is actually pretty beast for the new upcoming Tales of Monkey Island. DVD Slipcase painted by Steve Purcell, a free Telltale game, and access to a special designer section of the site? Please!

$20 seems like a lot of money to pay for a USB stick and essentially, "DLC".

Now THAT'S worth preordering for. Game makers sems to think people pre order simply because they're too stupid to realise that they can just buy it normally for cheaper and with no loss. Honestly why don't people just save the money they would spend pre ordering and just buy a cople of 8GB USBs if they need them so badly.

All the DLC plus the USB drive would probably equal about $20 anyway. So why not get them all at once.

Wait, so the Audi R8, the car they've been showing in every trailer and I presume is on the cover of the damn game, is DLC? How fucked up is that? Oh well, I still plan on preordering and IMO you can't have too many USB sticks and one branded with the Forza 3 logo sounds pretty cool to me.

@Daedhead

It was the same way with the 350Z on the cover of Forza 2. The car was only available for preorder. Considering that this is basically the DLC Whig would be $20 anyway, I'm surprisingly ok with this. That and the 350s were selling for a TON of cash on the online marketplace a month after the game came out, so I assume the audi's will as well.

@Deadhead:

They pulled the same stunt for Forza 2.

10 extra cars won't make a difference to me especially since you have over 400 cars to choose from. An exclusive dashboard theme? Who the fuck cares? VIP membership? For what? The 2gb USB is the only thing worth getting, but is it worth 20 bux? Nope.

Those cars are probably custom tuned like the ones in Forza 2.

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me. There's absolutely no reason that those 10 cars shouldn't be included in that racing game.
