RFGO show music: What song was that?

Sup. Since someone will invariably ask "Hay wut song was dat at the end??" every week, I've decided to start a thread where I can log that information for anyone who wants it.

Our "official" ending theme that you'll hear closing out most episodes is a song called Hexadecimal Genome. It was written and performed by my friend Bit Shifter, who is an incredibly talented chiptune artist and all-around awesome guy. You can download the song, and the entire EP it came from, right over here at 8bitpeoples. While you're there, check out the other fine chiptune offerings they have available by other 8bp artists, as it's all quality stuff. If you want more from Bit Shifter, you can visit his website.

The other thing you're most likely to hear is original music created especially for us by our friend Coffeesash. I'll usually announce on the show that the piece you heard was her work, so you'll know it when it happens. She's very mysterious and leaves these on my windowsill Batman-style, so I can't direct you to her website, unfortunately.

If the music you hear in the show isn't one of the above, I'll drop into this thread now and then to let you know what it was. Normally it's just some crap I pulled from YouTube, but if anyone really wants to know, you can just ask here from now on.

All the music there is awesome and always will be. Cuz that'z Retroforce GO!

I might draw the line at Vanilla Ice or Pearl Jam though. Keep up the great work.

Cool; I guess I can ask what I've been wondering for a while here?
Episode 68: Sonic the Hedgehog with Jim Sterling - what's the intro song? Totally badass metal cover / reinterpretation that I feel ashamed for not being able to find, but there's a lot of crap blocking my way when I use any logical search tags to try and find it.

Thanks!

Thanks, if you have any tips on a cool old game track that could be metalified something like this (just threw it together to test the guitar sound, kinda like it) I'd like to hear it! As long as it isn't too super advanced with Dragonforce solos out the ass etc

Other than that sorry for slight topic derailing

Man this thread rocks my socks! I seriously spend more time listening to Retroforce than
I do actually doing work during business hours, and always enjoy the music. I'm a huge chip tune fanboy .. no joke.. I'm talking trouser tents. Did Coffeesash do the intro for the old Rev Rants on RFGO?

Is there a longer version of the Katamari intro theme with all the sound effects over the top? and/or is there and MP3 of it?

Whats the original Intro tune from out of interest, I know you've got stuff from Katamari playing over it now, but I really want to know where the original intro music is from.

It was mentioned in some other thread. But it's from an old Superfriends intro/commercial/musicvideo
