What game did you waste the most of your life on?

Serious gamers naturally spends plenty of their life playing games. Although once in awhile comes a game that theyve logged countless hours on.
So what game did you play more than any other? Why?
For me it would actually be pokemon Pearl. Who woulda thunk..well Over 500 hours of hard work. Game addiction? Surely not. But the advent of Pokebattling online sparked the competitiveness in me.
So many hours building teams to counter any type and most strategies. Taking advantage of abilities. EV Training etc.

dtoidsad But.....

Im on my psp ran outta space lol but another reason I spent so much time on was due to the hidden systems that take a lot of hardwork to make use of. And online research. But alas I cant play it anymore since I lost it on a trip...
Dammit. My reign of pwnage lasted a good while though.

Those are pretty long.
I expect Persona might be mentioned often.

I think Monster Hunter Freedom Unite might beat my 500+ record. Just made HR7! But I play alone =(

Pokemon Crystal... or, Pokemon as a series. I don't know how much time I've spend playing the damn thing. I've got about 250 hours of game time in Pearl, probably a total of around 400 hours in Ruby, about 100 in FireRed, and I don't want to think about how much time I've spent in Silver and Crystal. Those two and Ruby, I've replayed a couple of times too before I became "serious" about leveling and competing.

The only game I never played that much was Red, but that's probably because I finished Ruby, Silver and Crystal before I played it, and... well, compared to those it didn't hold up so well, I'm afraid.

But yeah, total playtime of Pokemon should be around 800-1000 hours. Which is about 33-41 real-life days.

I really gotta pick up the pace...

Pokemon pearl definitely takes it as a stand alone and the pokemon series takes it as well. Excluding pokemon it would have to be an RPG because I spent so many hours in all of them that I've played but I'm not sure which one I spent the most time in.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Soldier of Fortune II, CS 1.3-1.6, Day of Defeat, World of Warcraft, Warcraft III (Defense of the Ancients)

In that order, chronologically.

Agreed the last games I played 10+ Hours was Dragon Quest V for DS. Always loved that game (55 hrs) and FF7 (50 ish)
Since Im not exactly rich I normally buy rpgs that last awhile.

But I think I spent alot of time on Super Stardust Portable. Im ranked 11th online in survival 5 minutes 55 secs.
But I might be below 10 hrs

Definitely Halo 1. I can't count the hours I spent setting up Warthog Jumps, Trying to find my way out of the levels, finding all the little glitches (like the floating Assault Rifles and the lost Marine), and just making myself as good as I can be in Legendary.
Although, Halo 2 is a very close second. Coagulation was like a home away from home, and I spent a lot of time getting out of levels with friends online, making crazy awesome Custom games, dicking around in matchmaking, and just generally having a good time. Halo lasted so long for me, because I really tried to push the limits of the game and find all the little secrets. Surprisingly, I didn't spend much time doing stuff like that in Halo 3.

If we're going far back, FFVIII when I first played it back in 2002-2003. I spent a good three weeks trying to get the best weapons for every character I could. By the time I got two weapons for two characters and Lionheart for Squall, I eventually got bored and decided to just beat the final boss. And before I actually did that, I spent a few days trying to get the best cards from that stupid card game.

If we're talking recently, probably Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. 10 or so hours in, and I haven't even beaten the game yet, I'm still busy collecting every glyph and searching every area in the game.

I really hate being such a completionist.

Final Fantasy 10.
500-1000 hours. If I set up my PS2 I could tell you, but it's 3am, maybe tomorrow. The amount of content in that game is crazy. Hence why it's in my top ten games of all time.

Final Fantasy 9.
400 hours+. This game was so good, I played through it about 7 maybe 8 times, probably more. Plus add in the card game, the Moogle quests, and it makes me giddy thinking about it

Final Fantasy 12.
The Hunter Quests. Need I say more? 400+ hours.

COD4. Something like 50 days worth, so like 1000 hours+. (I was kind of addicted, but I did play competitively in tournaments so, you know )

Commander Keen.
500 hours +

Mame32
500+ hours

Yeah....I play games a lot I could add in loads more but I can't remember at the moment.

Oh, 4 more popped into my head:

Splinter Cell Series
300 hours+

Mario Series
500+ hours

Emulation
Too much.

Bond Series
500+ hours

Final Fantasy VI. I must have replayed it at least 5 times trying to find everything, and the last time around I maxed everyone out. Then there was finding all of Gau's special attacks and acquiring at least one of every item. Insane stuff.

No other game has given me that kind of replayability, but then again, I don't replay games these days - no time.

Over the entirety of the pokemon series I probably played between 400-500 hours, but the most time I have ever put into a single game is 350-400 hours of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. That was over two files because I accidentally erased the first one. There was a day mourning over that one. I don't think I will ever play that much in a single game ever again. Now I have so many left unplayed or unopened even, I feel kinda guilty for having bought them that I have to more on after beating them. It kinda conflicts with the OCD in me.
