Unsurprisingly, the first chapter of FortressCraft has sold quite well. According to developer ProjectorGames, the title managed to reach 16,000 sales in its first day, making it the fastest-selling Xbox Live Indie game of all time.
There's still a lot of anger over the similarities between it, Minecraft, and earlier games in the genre, but people are clearly wanting that experience on Xbox 360 -- even if it isn't a particularly great one. FortressCraft serves its purpose. I have to wonder if future installments will be as successful, though.
I suppose the games do have Avatar support, so probably.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:

Its a stellar, more meaty version of Minecraft Classic. The Relics (JETPACKS AND RAYGUNS!) Make building really awesome. I'm going to continue supporting projector to keep this going.

Minecraft is still better and will most certainly always be better largely because of modders.

Yeah I ripped off minecraft and put it on XBLA, what the fuck ya gonna do about it?
He 'knows' he's copying the property entirely, he 'knows' he's looking to make a quick buck and he 'knows' that what he's doing is, for the most part, WRONG.
But rather than Mojang taking action, they've just sat by doing nothing.
Look, I'm no radical fan of Mojang, Notch or anyone else. Minecraft is great and I was totally all for FortressCraft as well...
And then the dev for FC went around and decided to be an asshole. THOSE are the kind of people we don't need to be sitting around and lazily do nothing about. THESE are the kind of people we need to boycott and protest. Fuck the hypocritical parents who can't monitor their kids, fuck the intellectually unaware anti-video game groups and fuck the politicians who think they need to control the ratings system, WE SHOULD DEAL WITH OUR OWN PROBLEMS FIRST.
If that douchebag who was attempting to license the term 'EDGE' can be dealt with, surely this guy can too.

You act as if,
a) MineCraft is itself original. (It's not.)
b) Every FPS game after Wolfenstein 3D doesn't exist. (They do.)
c) Repeat B, for every "first game" in every genre.
It should also be noted that the game has an average score of more than 4/5 based on over 6,300 reviews. Seems a bit better than "garbage" to me.
Although the fact that it includes floating masses of land per standard is really cool.
From everything I've heard, this isn't one of those games. Now, Ace of Spades is looking interesting...

Also, MS is in no way supporting this game. Its been reviewed by peers NOT working with MS (I should know, I was one of the guys that reviewed Avatar Online Adventures). They only get 70% of profits, like they do with ALL XNA games.

It's reportedly a little glitchy, though in the short time I've spent playing with it so far the only one I've noticed is occasional black sides on blocks. Last I checked, there's supposed to be an update coming Monday of next week.
Anyhow, as a wise man once said, I shall watch its career with great interest.

Your telling a fellow gamer they can not voice their own opinion? On top of that, your argument couldn't be more "INVALID". Developers take/get ideas from each others games and that's what make competition. I'm sorry but if you can mistaken a screen shot or gameplay of Prey for Portal, you have to let your eyes rest. BTW: I do agree with your "Jet Set Radio" comment.
that being said, a lot of people have tried it and liked it (4/5), i thought it was so-so, but i don't mind clones. i love gameloft's ios games. you girls really have nothing better to do than whine and cry about games you've never played. this is why i don't read comments here most of the time. this site turned into a 14 years of age & under site.
