Normally we do "Ten Minute Tastes" here at Destructoid, but I ran into a little problem with 0 Day Attack on Earth, which hits Xbox LIVE Arcade today. I died at the five-minute mark. As our own Jonathan Ross put it, "You are terrible at this game."
Yes. Yes I am.
0 Day Attack on Earth is a dual-stick shooter that has players defending cities torn up by an alien invasion. Shown here is my battle to protect what's left of New York City, but later in the game you'll unlock Tokyo and Paris alien-invasion venues. Interestingly, it seems the map is based on satellite imagery; I'm pretty sure I saw the building where I used to work in Manhattan.
The game supports four-player online co-op, but since I suck so badly, no one would play with me. I'm not even going to get into the eight-player versus mode, considering my skills are apparently weak.
Oh, and I apologize for the "Five Minute Taste" opening. I had to throw that one together real quick.
0 Day Attack on Earth is available on Xbox LIVE today for 1200 MS Points.
What are you apologizing for that opening was awesome......as for the game it looks a little boring but i'll have to try it out. Co-op is a nice option so we shall see.
I bet I didn't survive my first Super Stardust game on easy mode longer than 5 minutes. Maybe I did but I doubt it. You gotta practice a couple games to get a sense of the weaponry and your opponents.
Were those other planes (AI?) flying around on your side? If so , they kept shooting you and flying in circles. I think they killed you more than once. what gives?
I did not mean to post a blank comment. What I was going to say was, that has got to be either the worst or (probably) the best video game title of all time.
It is pretty boring through the first 4 or 5 stages. When you get to tokyo it gets a bit more interesting. Paris is how the game should have started. It gets a bit more hectic and is actually fun. Yes, the game is repetitive. But, it is a decent game.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Oh, nice gamertag too.
Is that even possible? 100 levels on 5 difficulties? Thats 500 levels to play.
