As 2010 fast approaches, Koei Tecmo is rolling out the promotion for what could be its biggest game of the upcoming year. Fist of the North Star Musou blends Dynasty Warriors beat-em-all gameplay with the classic Manga and it has potential to be a huge earner.
This new trailer is little more than one minute of hype and bluster, but it's still pretty bloody amazing. I'm really looking forward to this game and can't wait to get my hands on it. Maybe Koei will be nice enough to give us a preview if we're really, really, really good little boys and girls.

as awesome as gundam musou 2 was i really hope they learned their lesson and dont add some dumbass mission mode where every mission plays out the same way in this one.
oh and i also hope that bart is playable and that he fights with some kind of harmonica flail
Anyone else notice the overuse of the rattling chains sound effects? It's just about the only noise in the trailer besides the music and some explosions.
Hope its good. It might be the first time I buy a KT game full price. Can't beat some 80's testosterone action. I hope they through in the anime movie with the game.

@volomon i've already considered it, but if you see a tank, of something, on top of a building, id said its a water tank, wether it's used to store water or gas doesnt matter
i just hope they follow the original storyline, with special missions and all that, i dont want that awesome universe to be ruined by some shitty spinoff
Fist of the North Star is the first true anime-movie I saw and got me addicted to the stuff so they better not mess this shit up! then again, if they're going to use the dynasty warrior engine, this will be the perfect game for mindless grotesque fun :-)
Ugh.. you're spot on with that trailer being hype and bluster Jim. I care nothing for "epic" cutscenes, I want game play footage. I'm so hoping this will be the perfect blend of Godhand and Dynasty Warriors.

As for a Berserk Musou, I'm not sure it would be possible. Berserk is VERY story driven. Same thing for Jojo no Kimyō na Bōken.

Really really really need to see some gameplay before I get at all interested in this game. If it's just like Dynasty Warriors, no thanks. Hope it has a greatly improved combat system in place.
bersserk musou is definitely possible. There are so many battles in the first few volumes; definitely enough to make a game. As for continuing arcs, like the one with Mozgus and stuff, I think there are more one on one battles but it would kick ass!
Hokuto no Ken is so metal. BTW, any of you nubs wanting to go see the original TV series, all the episodes are streaming for free on hulu, crunchyroll, and funimation as "FIST OF THE NORTH STAR". All 152 episodes.
It wouldn't hurt to have some "in-game" action. You never know how a game plays until you see it. Otherwise, nifty trailer, certainly some potential there, especially if they can convey the might, power and flow of the action.
Hey I'd love to check out Hulu, but its region lecked and we can't access it in the U.K. Only other real way to get all of the tv series is import dvd, or via HK boot leg copies. Cough cough!
I do have hope for this game being better than DW, now Tecmo are part of Koei. Tecmo are experienced in action beat em up games.

I love Hokuto No Ken... but yes, I would love a Berserk Musou game even more.

Koei Tecmo handles its own localization. We'll get it in due time, no worries.
