Here I was under the impression that the disc-based Borderlands add-on pack bundle was already out and had been out since late last month. Whoops! It turns out that retail won't be getting a dose of "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned" or "Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot" until April 6 (April 9 for our international friends).
The two-pack collection costs $19.99, so you won't be saving any money versus buying the digital download copies. Also, it's only going to be available in the following flavors: PC and Xbox 360.
It's nice to see this retail package for videogame collectors and people who don't have reliable Internet access, for sure. I have to wonder, though -- does this mean Gearbox will only do one more DLC pack so "The Secret Armory of General Knoxx" can be bundled up, or are there more on the way beyond that?
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
There's a substantial number of people who don't have access to XBL, for one reason or anoher. I'm really grateful for retail releases like this, Episodes from Liberty City, and the upcoming Dragon Age expansion.
Thanks Gearbox.
There's going to be a fourth Borderlands dlc pack, from what I hear, so Gearbox will release that and SAoGK on another dvd. Guess they'll take a break from Borderlands after that.
Ah, I see what you mean. That is an annoyance.
Of course I never finished the main game, found it quite overrated, so what the hell do I care.
Going through it again on a playthrough 2, though. :D
I think these are exactly the same as the DLC packs as in they have to be installed to the hard drive to play them. I think it would be impossible to have it differently because to get to the areas of the DLC you have to use quick travel through the normal game world to get there.
I believe Linksys or Belkin (one of those companies) makes an ethernet wireless bridge for around $40, which is fairly reasonable. Plugs into the ethernet port on the 360. Works for anything with ethernet, really.
