I'm sorry but the thing Activision has done to make you more excited for the game is announce post-release DLC before the release? How strange that the prospect of spending more money on a thing at a later date gets you excited to pay money for the thing in the first place. Man, the game industry has a good thing going. Good on them for making us chumps.

i am... actually pretty excited about this. think i'm gonna go bust out the dreamcast for a bit and brush up on some thps2.
As long as it's reasonably priced and releases well after the release of the initial product, I'm ok with it. I'm also a huge fan of THPS3, so much to call it my favorite out of 'em all.

@tekbunny I did that recently and THPS2 holds up tremendously well mechanics wise. My favorite gameplay out of any of them. 1 is too simple and 3 got a little too over the top. 2 felt like it was still made by skaters.
The game isn't even out yet BUT HERES SOME DLC FUCKERS.

I've always felt THPS3 had the weakest levels of the Pro Skater series. I think it's because the majority were crammed into a square area with lines of rails that were hard not to stick to.
Thps 3 was my favorite of the series, the revert changed everything and made way for truly sick combos. The 3 mechanics in the the thps 2 stages though, is perfection.
I actually liked THPS4, but I'm still confused as to why every single level from 1-3 isn't being included. Why be so damn selective? All of those levels were gold.
Still, I'd go with Oil Rig from the Xbox version. Not only was it exclusive and not played by many, but it was just awesome.

People, calm down, they're saying they'll be working on the DLC afterwards and just want your opinion on which THPS3 stages they could do seeing as people got sad it wasn't included in THPSHD.
It's not like it's held-back content or anything, THPSHD is the game it always was intended to be and they're adressing a complaint by planning ahead.

Well, I actually just got a tweet from Activision. The game is coming out in June. They've said fan response is why these levels are being added. Maybe I was fed a line of corporate BS, but at least I know we have a month or so of waiting.
I really enjoyed the series up to THUG, though after that I think it tapered a bit. I spent more time than I'd like to admit in THPS2 and Underground. Pretty excited for this!
What I liked about THPS4 was the elimination of the time limit. I guess they can't really include any stages from it because of that, though.

I agree NopeMan 100%. I don't care if its ready at launch, they can at least have the decency to lie to us.
Well actually a good marketing tactic would be to announce beforehand. People know well in advance that they'll have to hold on to their game in case they want more of what they liked. Or I guess, in this case, keep it downloaded.

Made the bar of entry for 1million+ scores far too low though for me.
Dunno, I remeber having a 2.1million score in hangar vs. my friends split-screen 1.8 million and having a crowd at a house party going nuts for the shit we were pulling off. Played THPS3 and it wasn't the same because errrrrybody be pulling off the scores.

THPS4 is my favorite version of the game. Everything about it is perfect, I had to have had like... 1000 hours playing that game. THPS2X is also on that top, but 4 still squeaks by.
Hmmm.... announcing DLC before the game's release has NEVER gone over well. If you're working on this content before the game is out, there's no reason to not put include with the game in the first place.
The users of this site really are dumb... They have finished the game and probably currently testing it, it's out in june. They want us to pick our favorite maps so they can determine which to make when they start on the dlc. They haven't started it, they haven't finished it, they haven't said it would be day one dlc and they haven't said it would cost anything either so why is everyone bitching? They are just doing what the fans want, adding maps they themselves didn't think to add.

i tried to go back and play THUG the other day, and it was just way to out of control. i dont know how i was ever able to play that back in the day.
also i think i may be one of the few to like project 8. mainly cause i liked the slow moe kick flip thing they did. didnt work to great but it was different and kinda fun to mess with.
i still think 2 was the best though.
