Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

For those of us who have and love Crackdown, we've been anticipating some fresh content that was always promised to eventually come down the line. Well, for the first time, we can now get a look at just what Real Time Worlds has in store from us. Through the Crackdown forums, this was revealed:

Hello All - Hopefully the PR snipers won't take me down or this image, but here's a quick look at a piece of content coming to you "soon".  I'll let the pic do the talking, but essentially you are going to see a new game type and a new type of vehicle when you click the below link.

That's all I can tell you or show you for now.

Awesome.

Looks pretty boss. Still holding out for a helicopter, though. Give it something to add some kind of longevity.

Does this mean I'll actually open my copy of crackdown except for the 3 weeks that the Halo 3 beta is open? Probably not.

Hopefully you can shoot out the tires. It'll easily add many many more hours to the game.

Haha you gave Crackdown a 9.7! How do you come up with that stuff?

@piko

that was exactly what i was thinking. it looks to me like 4 player co-op is being added as a gametype. that would make it worth a purchase for me (i'm not a big halo fanatic like most other xbox owners).

4 player co op would definitely make me want to play this game as right now it is as abandoned as a san francisco baby born on the street

it has to be free for the next 100 gp aleast unless ther are also gonna release another 250 on top of that, and aslong as i dont have to collect any more god damn orbs this should be good.

Man, Crackdown was just a fun freaking game. I rented it, beat it, now I'm thinking of buying it and starting all over.

If this is just another racing module that is one player and again pointless like all the other races in the game...then yeah it looks kinda neat, but very empty of anything worth getting interested in. Can we have more story lines? Crazier physics? How bout more levels of superhuman abilities that coincides with the next two levels of difficulty in the game? How bout anything that is more than just a race module...ugh, who drives around enough in the game to even want to do time trials in Crackdown??

Here here Mom's Boyfriend...

If I wanted to play cart racing, Mario's got me covered.

4 player co-op sounds neat, but all my experiences with two player co-op were full of lagginess and slowdown. Meh. Just don't tie up the GP in some shit-ass achievement like "Join in a 4 player co-op game", cause that ain't happening here, bub.

I hope no publisher ever does this downloadable content thing again to get all 1000 points. It's fucking stupid.

They need to add in a mode where you can stalk your co-op partners without their health bar giving away their location.

But what I have to wonder is - how much is it going to cost me? People argued when the PS3 was bought. But I am getting severely irritated with paying upwards to $80 per 360 game to get all of the new content they add to the good titles.

@Grim, I noticed last night while comparing our achievements that you haven't even put Crackdown in your 360. I was wondering about that...
