I don’t own a DS. But as far as I’m aware, there aren’t that many sports sims, let alone sports games, on it. So it’s good to see that some game companies are paying attention to the handheld. 2K Sports has been working on Top Spin 3 for a while now, and so far, we’ve only seen images of the HD (i.e., PS3/360) versions of the game. As for video footage, they showed off the Wii version of the game last month at the 2008 Sony Ericsson Open.
Now, for the first time, 2K has revealed some shots of Top Spin 3 on the DS. You can check out the five screens below. Again, I’m not very familiar with the DS, but these images don’t look too bad to me. I mean, you can’t really tell who the players are by their faces, but I feel like you can’t really expect much on a 256×192-pixel screen. What do you guys think?
Top Spin 3 is scheduled for a June 2008 release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS.
