First pics from upcoming iNiS title Lips
I was excited about Lips when info about it was first leaked last month -- despite visions of Frank-N-Furter's dramatic red mouth from the Rocky Horror Picture Show (thanks for that, Jim), I'm a sucker for any game in which I get to wield a microphone. In fact, throw myself and fellow editors Nick Chester and Chad Concelmo in a room with a karaoke machine and a few bottles of alcohol, and we'd be some gleeful sons of b*tches. Thankfully, I'm not judging the level of fun I will have with the game on these first pics posted over at Gamekyo. The mics look pretty glitzy, which is fine, but the actual ad features an guy making an incredibly goofy face with four overly excited friends wearing similar shades of the same expression. I hate faked enthusiasm. No guys, we're really excited! REALLY EXCITED! Screw it, all I care about is that you can upload your own songs. For all I know, I might look equally douchebaggy wailing away in the privacy of my own home. Someone ought to come take some pictures of me so I'll stop picking on other people. More on this title next week, after we get a chance to rock it out proper at E3. [Thanks, Power Glove] Tags:#Karaoke#Microsoft Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)So...what's so special about this, other than singing your own songs? Or is it just more Singstar/Karaoke Revolution? Seems disappointing so far. If you're referring to the red lips in the opening song, those are actually Magenta's (Patricia Quinn) while the lips used for the movie posters and the box art is Columbia (Little Nell). Though I find them far less frightening than Curry's red lips, seeing as what they were attached to. *shudder* iNiS is the same developer who made Gitaroo Man and the Ouendan/EBA series(s).
Nice to find out this is their mystery 360 title. I wonder how accurately it will generate the "note highway". If the tech is there; I can't wait to rock the mic to some anime themes and some Led Zep. If not, FAIL. 12:30 PM on 11.01.2012 Japan's famed Karaoke Joysound now out in AmericaIf karaoke is your jam, then you probably know about Japan's Karaoke Joysound hit franchise.
