Since we last checked in, FRACT OSC has grown considerably. What was previously shown off is now being referred to as a prototype, with a full version of this first-person puzzle adventure game -- one which more closely matches the original vision -- currently in development.
Phosfiend Systems has posted an update on its blog alongside a developer diary that walks us through the progress that's been made and teases what is yet to come. The increased focus on sound seems like a natural fit for the abstract world players will be put in. Calling it now: I'm going to get lost.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

finally some news on this one. i've been playing it for at least a year and the beta is fantastic. i have some weird phobia about spatial sense, so the game actually kinda freaks me out with it's sterile, open and void landscapes. also, the last puzzle is hard as fuck.
thanks for the update jordan, i shall go back and check out what has been changed.
Looks really good, although, as someone who was into electronic music his whole life, I'm not really looking forward to making beats inside a game, especially when you can only control stuff in game with a single mouse button, therefore you don't have a lot of control over your track.
I mean they recreated a basic sequencer and a pattern editor and it's great, but if they'd programm it so that people could connect their midi controllers to this game, that would take it to another level.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
