The gentlemen at Adhesive Games have been hard at work since the release of their initial Hawken teaser trailer. They have finally blessed us with a few minutes of actual gameplay footage for you to feast your eyes upon. If you have not yet heard of Hawken, hopefully seeing this glorious mech combat in action will plant it firmly on your radar.
Wait, wasn't a new MechWarrior game announced a year ago? Wth happened with that? Why are so many of my favourite franshises getting sequels announced and then disappearing ?
Screw MechWarrior, this game will appease my Mech fetish.
I really hyped for this game as I loved mechwarrior and this looks like a lot of fun even to me who isnt that much of an online FPS gamer. A singfle player campain would be cool aswell.
I remember everyone bitching about Dragon Age 2 repeating their 3d graphical assests. Well this game does the same and looks really damn good!
Hell yes.
I really hope stuff like this can lead to a revival of mech games.
I was too young to really get into them back then, and I'll be damned if I don't see more stuff like this!
There's going to be no special controller for this seeing as it's coming from a small 9 man indie team. There's no way they would have the kind of funds needed to mass produce a mech controller with their game.
I don't want to be cynical about something you guys seem stoked about, but I'm not quite sure how this isn't Call of Duty in a mech. If that sounds exciting that's cool, but not really my thing. If I'm missing something though, I'd love to be corrected.
@Tristrix there are mech games that do the exact same thing, have been around for longer than the entire franchise of COD. This is just another iteration of say, phantom crash, for xbox... but slower. and in depth.
You know, this really doesn't have much at all in common with Call of Duty other than the fact it's graphics are as impressive as, if not better than COD. Oh, and it's a first person shooter....
As incredible as this game's presentation is, the gameplay does very little for me when I see the trailers. To me mechs should be speedy, use a wide arrange of weaponry and/or let you customize your mech to suit your taste and the playing field. This game so far looks like it has none of those things.
Unless they introduce more mechs than the one they showed I'm unfortunately not interested in paying for that.
While my pants would utterly burst if it had the kind of control scheme that Steel Batallion did, allowing for coolant transfers and multiple weapons set ups, seeing as how this is an 'fps' mech combat game, I forsee it being a bit more streamlined. One trigger (or mouse button) per weapon....
ANyway you slice it, I was literly WIDE EYED while watching this. DO FREAKING WANT.
This is possibly the first game this generation that has made me feel like the previous gen, in regards to fun and gameplay. That is NOT a bad thing. It reminds me of Phantom Crash meets MechWarrior.
Give me mech customisation, and this will be a long-standing game for me!

In any case, I want this hard and fast.

On a side note, what falsenipple said would make this game an all timer. Regardless of its quality or not.

Color me fucking excited though.
Holy. Fucking. Shit. Seriously Guys. Holy. Fucking. Shit.
And this is gonna be released on Psn, right? Count me the fuck in. Buying so hard.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Also, a 3rd person view would be vonderful, and rain effects of yes that too and nightmaps oh god yes
