Prior to today, I acknowledged that yeah, I would likely purchase Modern Warfare 2 on November 10 of this year. But my excitement for the game was nowhere near where it was for Call of Duty 4. However, after seeing the first snippet of multiplayer footage, I take that all back -- I'm officially pumped.
The video, which can be found after the break, shows some of the different killstreak rewards for Modern Warfare 2. This time around, instead of simply having a few different rewards for getting X amount of kills, there are significantly more, and you can "personalize" them, apparently.
The killstreak bonus shown in the clip is pretty freakin' rad, if I do say so myself. After eleven kills, you get to be the gunner of an AC130, as depicted in the image above.
I'm extremely curious to see what the other unlockable killstreaks are, but there's plenty of time until November and Infinity Ward is going to undoubtedly give us bits and pieces of info rather than divulge everything at once.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Alright, so it's either going to be much better than CoD4, or much worse. Good god, that video looked cool, I hope IW kicks me in my cynical nuts this November.
AC130 after *11* kills... I seriously hope the airstrikes and Helo's have been fixed.
And by fixed I mean the Helo can't fire through 5 feet of concrete and I will no longer be killed by an airstrike and then re-spawn only to be killed by it again.
Oh man... I can see myself getting very angry but at the same time very pleased with stickybombs. I wish it was fall already. I've just today hit my game rut where everything I currently own just isn't cutting it anymore. News of Conviction getting pushed back didn't help, either. I think I might pre-order this today.
Also, I just want to find out if there's going to be cooperative multiplayer modes, like campaign co-op and something to the extent of WaW's zombie mode. I'm just really itching for a solid cooperative game.
Holy shit. No joke, my nipple just became erect while watching that. It could be that it's chilly in here, but I think it had more to do with how friggin' awesome it looks.
no wonder big title games are pullin back releases until 2010 quarter this game is goin to destroy competition and steal people lives and ruin relationships but i will tell you this its not fair what they are doin to european gamers chargin damn near hundred for a game
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

also, new pants.
And by fixed I mean the Helo can't fire through 5 feet of concrete and I will no longer be killed by an airstrike and then re-spawn only to be killed by it again.
Also, the ending was great. Sticky grenades?
God Damn This Game Looks Fucking Amazing!!!!!!
because Treyarch's copy paste job with a new coat of paint IS a joke.
Hey! I liked WaW =P
It wasn't that bad.
B) Too bad I'll never get to be in an AC-130 because I suck!
Anyway, still looks like a great game.
I only needed one after that
