It feels like only yesterday Infinity Ward was talking up the mysterious first Modern Warfare 2 downloadable map pa--oh, that totally was yesterday. Huh, that was quick! The marketing division has created an informative site about "mapathy," an all-too-real medical condition affecting millions of gamers.
They say the cure is coming to Xbox LIVE on March 30, which would mean an April release for PlayStation 3 and PC since Microsoft acquired a full month of exclusivity for the add-on. The real question, at least in my mind, is whether or not we'll see video/pictures of the maps during GDC.
Either way, the wait shouldn't be too painful. As wrapped up in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as I am, I wouldn't mind getting back into Modern Warfare 2, if only to play new content from time to time.

How are people supposed to NOT know where you are when you're playing the maps from the previous game?

I like MW2, and I'm pretty sick of the old maps... but yeah, I'm not buying these.
I, personally got seriously bored of Knife of Mutey: Glitch Borefare 2, MW1 was a great game, but more of the same with some over the top, unbalanced, untested additions thrown in? Fuck no. I prestiged it, just to say i had and traded the cunt in for Heavy Rain and Alien vs Predator. I later traded in AvP (borked MP) for Bad Company 2 which I'm loving every minute of.
MW2 left me massively disapoint. I was a completely opaque block of the colour known as disapoint.
I think I actually remember reading, "can you imagine using a chopper gunner on crash?"
there are three new maps as well, you know... but it's negligible to the BC2 players I've seen who act like pompous pricks when a passive opinion about their new big-boy pants rears it's unworthy head. stop scoffing and acting like douchebags and just play your game of choice.
and come to think of it, I haven't seen any "glitchfests" since the two care package exploits were taken care of.
