Interesting... cool to see some of these class games and genres finding a new home.
Wonder how a game like Torchlight or Diablo would work on an iPad/tablet? I'd worry that your hand would get in the way of seeing what was going on in an actiony game.
The real issue with touchscreens is that unless people grow tiny extra fingers there is no good way to increase the accuracy. Maybe if we wear little stylus-like things on our fingers?

damn... I really didn't want to replay this game and potentially ruin my fond memories of playing it for the first time... but an iPad edition? I may have to just go for it and hope for the best!
Well, as long as its still on the PC as well(I imagine theyd go the Steam route). Plus if they went with iPad I can see PSN/XBLA versions too at some point.
Sounds good to me, if it's not priced insanely. I'd be more inclined to play it on my iPad simply because I can play in bed, the way I originally played BG2 on a laptop. I just hope this improves more than the graphics. Love the game, but it hasn't aged well in some of the gameplay either. Only some, don't get your pitchforks out guys.
I'm not seeing "yes there will be a pc edition' anywhere. If this 'is' just an i-pad/tablet only release that's a major bad choice. One of the most popular 'PC' titles of all time, why in the world would they not release this on PC? I've got to assume they will, and just aren't clarifying that given I've heard talk about 'your save files will still work/trying to make it mod-friendly. All of that sounds like a PC release but still. Can we get a Yes or No on this guys? Inquiring Minds wanna know for sure! I'm either uber excited for this, or extremely disappointed given I don't own an I-pad and likely never will..
Of course they will release it on PC too guys. Calm yourselves. They just haven't said so because it's blatantly obvious.

I'm interested to see how they translate the controls to the iPad. I can't imagine playing it without a keyboard.
Updating a PC classic....with iPad as the lead platform. What the hell. This is why I'm rather against these guys making BG3 like they keep claiming to be trying.
Controls are a problem on tablets. Touch screens are not as exact or responsive as buttons, mice and analog sticks. So except for turn-based strategy games, tablet games will remain in the realm of the casual.
